today is the first day I use my GPS NOKIA E52 on open air here what have found out

in my way to work I noticed that the compass started in red then when moving in 8's its started to turn yellow but not moving around concerning navigation it works but may be the maps of Egypt is not updated in OVI that's why it show my way to my work in desert (amria) in balanc area as if aim lost but I used rods not safari to reach my work so its not GPS problem

when I reached work I noticed that the compass turned green and rotating and still in blanks area over map but the coordination's is right as it gives me coordination's at least and the nearest road and place near me this mobile is a big bang in technology
and I believe every thing should be used as its manifactereted for
i.e. if you want a gps so use a GPS set if you want a camera so use a camera don't depend on its camera

people at nokia made this combinations of sets for casual use not to be used professionally

any was I would like at last to ask only inside my home the compass is not working but when I instated 3rd party software it worked if I removed it the original soft ware of phone (compass) is not working and this is strange GPS inside my home works hardly as its indoors but it after it hocked to id my place it gives it accurately

this phone is completely art peace and professionally use as my friend said before smart phones for smart people dump phones for ....... people heheheh

aim happy with my new mobile NOKIA E52 and would like all of you to buy it to enjoy !!!

update to lastest firmware to remove bug, for GPS connection do not use GPS closed indoor use it when you are in open outdoor so you can get sattelite signal, calibrate your phone before using compass in ovi maps (read this phone manual instruction how to calibrate compass) then just press "5" the compass will automatically on.. Or you can use third party software compass (i use free compass software from newLC ) for better compass mode..

it's up to you if you don't believe that some e52 are made in finland..i'm not saying chinese or korean made are bad but i prefer the one made in finland..i'm using e52-1 made in finland..and it's working very good.

to all e52 user:
if u wanna use ur gps for free from internet connection, u go to maps>tools>setting>internet>turn off internet connection at start up.
u all must read e52 manual book which come when u buy this phone to add more information to improve ur phone..
-dont mind if ur phone are made from korea, japan, malaysia, india, china, vietnam...coz it still nokia brand rite? what more important if u all know how to use n handle this phone efficiently...

Don't use the ovi maps. Go hack the phone using phoenix (search at youtube) and install garmin gps software from ipmart-forum.com

For those people who said there are a lot of bugs, you should update to the latest firmware which is v33.02

I used mine for 4 months and there are no auto-restarts, hangs or any other problems. By the way mine is made in Korea.

I never regret to buy this phone. The cons of this phone is only there is no auto focus camera but I rather use my dslr camera instead of my phone.

I agree itis a user error coz it's first time to have a mobile with GPS

and i instalted the lastest ovi but still find problem specialy with digital compass as itis not rotating while itis green colored by moving arwound
can you help my dear amico

by the way iam from egypt and my mobile is made in koria and i heared that sthere is some made in finish and some are chiness but how cares itis NOKIA and the best i have purcahsed from NOKIA till now

Just because you saw some made in China or Korea don't mean all are.

i have bought this phone sine few days

i haven't knew its all fetures yet but here what i have noticed
very fast , qute looking, no bugs , smart , user friendly

i have one problem as this is the first time to have an GPS phone so i am totaly lost of how to configer this gps to work away from network and htis is my problem not NOKIA's one but the phone is completely cool and i can tell to all people buy this phone you wont regret
i need only some one to tell me how to set this GPS to work away than the network !!!

can this multi-task?
for instance, i wanted to send a file(pic to another fone) at the same time i am texting a message and the mp3 player is also working. i can do this on my previous phone (6120c).
