well Iīve tried the e72, since itīs out in shops here in Sweden and I think itīs great. Of course Iīve also tried the camera and itīs waay better than the e71 camera. Of course itīs not comparable to a pocket digital camera but compared to other mobile phones id does great even if itīs not carl zeiss optics.
Right now I use a Nokia n82 and I must say that the e72 is not far from the n82 in picture quality, it doesnīt have the same zoom qualities and maybe not the video capabilities but I donīt use that much anyway :).
For being a camera always carrying with you and for taking spontaneous pictures I think it will do that great, almost as good as n82!

I had a look yesterday at the mobile phone built...To be honest, although people say its built isnt as great as an E71, i found it to be sturdy. I played with it for minutes, and found it to be responsive, though the optical pad was a bit slow for me in response, even when the sensitivity was pushed to high...

Al in all, i think i will still wait for the black edition, at the moment all the shops have the brown one which isnt my taste.

Got connected to Nokia Hotline this morning and talked to their executive , according to him E72 will be out on December 1st...they took my name and contact number

interestingly E72 will cost nearly Rs 2000 less in Kolkata ( the executive told that voluntarily)!

The Barcode reader application is used for decoding different types of codes (for example, barcodes and codes in magazines). The codes may contain different kinds of information, such as URL links, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers.

Before scanning a code, depending on the type of the camera in your device, turn the close-up switch of the camera to close-up mode when scanning the code.

To scan a code, select Scan code. Set the code between the red lines on the display. The Barcode reader scans and decodes the code, and the decoded information appears on the display.

What ever the comparisons between E71 & E72, two things stands out (got both). Battery life (heavy usage) and fast processor (also heavy usage).

i bought mine 2 days ago. i can't tell much difference than E71. I am having problem getting used to it since have been using iPhone. Emails are not pushed as it is advertised. I can't see old emails. Is it my setting? In addition, gmails are not showing up either. Can someone tell me what i need to do to get this corrected? I would like help in using this phone. My box did not come with a CD as well. Someone please post response. I must say i like the phone very much. It has more gadgets than the E71 for sure!

Hey Snubben

I'd like to point out that, before you buy this phone, keep in mind that megapixels only means the size of the picture. Not the quality. If you want quality, save yourself some cash and buy a digicam. If you go see the mobile-review site for the review about the E72, you can compare pictures. If you scale those pictures down to say 1024*768 or something, the different isnt really noticable.

Anyway, I currently have the SE C902 which is a great phone, but since i'm spoiled, I want something new. Well... new... my eye caught the E71 which is kinda old. It will be taking sucky pictures compared with the cybershot quality on my C902. But the Azerty (belgium) keyboard is pretty nice. And since I work in a GSM store in the weekends I can get a nice discount. Also, the E72 officially comes out in January. This was told to my by our supplier. I'll have to mail our nokia representative, but i'll keep you Belgians posted! :)

I didnīt buy the e71 because of the lousy camera, now I really think I could go for e72. I think the build quality looks very nice and itīs also slightly smaller than e71. Great phone :)!

guys after having seen and playing with my nokia e 71 and 72 i have to admit nokia cheated us out, how just the time v had to wait for it, no price discounts, and most of all the build quality is rubbish on E72, holding my 71 it has glass and metal but 72 is nothing but plastic and metal back cover, NICE going NOKIA honestly how many people care for 5 mp cam if ur really going to use it for business no one at lest not me, E72 comes with no Bar code reader very important IN BUSINESS keeping up with tracking and shipping, seems like nokia was so late on this lunch that they forgot their quality, and forgot to integrate useful things from E71 what are some ppl thoughts on this tell me plz very disappointed from Nokia

hey..who know where is the place can i find e72 topaz brown? i mean at nokia store or kiosk in malaysia..i dont want buy at supplier because some of the hp came from nokia in china which is got problem..anyone can help me? coz ive been looking for this hp since 2 week ago..tq..

i have been waiting for this phone for months now....even sold my e71 for this phone....checked it out hands on at a nokia distributor and was very disappointed.....not much of an upgrade as it is not that faster than the E71...who gives a fiddler's fart about the 5mp cam and 3.5 mm jack...cmon nokia give us a screen resolution like the bold 9000 at least...i saw videos running on bold 9000 and i was like what the hell??? has nokia been fooling us :( very sad
