> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-09-03 20:36 from 4Nnq - click to readmy deepest apologies. I have now upgarded and I to can now edit documents. I can conclude this is a brillaint phone. Whats more interesting is that when I originally upgraded when I got the phone it cost me about £6 and now that i've upgraded to the editable versions, it's free. I've not had to pay the $29.99 cost. again my apologies for saying you can't upgade to the edetibale version!

> In reply to sam @ 2010-09-03 21:37 from pRxF - click to readDear friend,
in my mind , N900 does not need Firmware update . The reason is simple : NO NEED ! Are you experienced an issue with the PR 1.2 firmware ? I don't , and believe me , im really "hammering" my N900,24/7, all day and all night. PR 1.2 is very solid update without any bugs, that's why you are not going to see (thats my opinion) ,for example PR 1.3, at least at the moment. About MeeGo..hmm looks nice, but i would wait to see a more final-perfect version of it (im not quiting Maemo that for sure). There is a slogan, "if it works, dont brake it". It suits for N900. Why should i want a Alpha Release of something, and dont stay in the rock solid solution that works perfect ?
About solar...that guy ..was me again! I was the first who started to talk about solar power to mobile,at least here, for N900. I solved my low battery issue with solar power.
P.S: Great tip , DON'T install application that you don't really need to, just for show off. Stay focus to what are you really use. That eventualy help your battery life.

N900's support in India is pathetic. Customer care people doesn't seems to have proper information about the device. Both pre selling & post selling are horrible.
If you can manage by reading on various blogs & forums about tweaking N900 yourself, then it is good. Otherwise don't expect much support.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-09-03 07:38 from 4Nnq - click to readthe datavitz full version still does not give you the ability to edit documents. Its a shame really because the N900 could be brilliant but for the lack of editing documents even with an upgrade it fails to be brilliant.
