I've been using this phone for 2 months. It's a great piece of technology to get your hands on. It has a great battery life. But some features are dissapointing if you are into personalizing the phone. It has only 2 themes. And the wallpapers don't occupy the whole screen. But still I recommend this.

> In reply to emboy @ 2008-12-09 03:26 from 0f}u - click to readEmboy, yes the phone can be used in the US. I live in Canada and have this phone. I knew the phone was only Tri-band which kind of sucks, but thus far every place I go I get perfect signal. No different then someone that has a quad-band phone. This I know because I have tested it with a co-worker whose phone is quad. The phone could be better, but for a basic touch phone which has great battery life it's just fine for me. cheers

I had just bought this phone by online YesAsia.com on 22-Oct.
It is wonderful phone, but some features as described in many advertise saying that the screen is able to both portrait and landscape mode. The fact is the screen is portrait and unable to be changed to landscape mode.
Beside that language available is for Chinese and English, some brochures said that Indonesian language is available. How to add the language as I mentioned.
Last, how to customize or add Network or Service Operator on the Network List.

Anybody could help?
Thanks in advance.

I bought this phone but I couldn't view the web pages that I could view with my old SonyEricson. I contacted Philips customer support. They told me that x800 do not support wap 2.0 , on the contrary the information on your website.

The xenium X 800 is a fantastic phone.
One question I have is whether you have the device/applications also in dutch text.

1) You can assign ringtones and group profiles to individual people.

2) The phone isn't running on Windows Mobile. You can install java apps only.

3) That's possible. Same controls. Short press is volume control, long press is skip, backward

Hello. I'm interested in this phone but few things are unclear to me. First is it possible to assign ringtones and pictures to individual contacts. Second what is the OS of this phone and is it pssible to install applications like Skype and Yahoo GO.Third is it possible to control playback of songs with the side volume keys while the screen is locked. SE has that function on all their phones - to skip forward or backward by holding the volume buttons.
Thanks for answering these questions.

Hey guys, I've just got the X800 and it is great. The battery life is excellent. I bought the phone on Wednesday where the battery is only 2/3. Then I input the phonebook and play it for 2 days, the battery still got a half. Don't understand why Nokia and Samsung can't make longer battery life.

The software is fast and smooth and the phone is small and light. It has all basic functions. Although it is not a smartphone, no wifi, GPS and 3G, it costs only USD250 whereas other smartphone costs a double. You can pay more to get a phone with 3G, wifi and GPS, but you should think whether these things are useful to you.

The disadvantage of the phone is the detailed setting. For example, you can only add 5 owned MP3 as ringtone. The screen is not as sharp as samsung's. The overall setting is not as fancy as Nokia's.

However, for me these are not a problem. My only concern is the battery life. I hate to charge my mobile everyday especially when you are on business trip.
