Guys, like i said my review for this phone is coming up soon but let me quickly share these: *ray is perfectly design for one unique function, which is taking sneak pictures. Indeed very perfect for it, that is just the reason for these features; ~small&slim body size, ~upper location of the lens, ~unavailability of the dedicated shutter botton, ~touching any area of the screen to snap, ~puting off shutter sound completly, and ~manually ON and OFF camera flash. U just need to off the shutter sound and the flash then hold it with one hand(either in portrait or landscape) as if u ar doing someting else and u will be taken pics of people in front u without been noticed. U can even fold ur arms with the phone in ur hand and continuosly taking snaps with ur thumb tapping the screen and nobody around will ever notice what is going on. U touch ten times u get ten pix automatically stored in ur gallery as u know so that gives u continuity. Check ur gallery later u see ur album there. I was infront of my boss in his office and i took several of his picture without him noticed. Just funny! And one thing about ray image quality; simply amazin! Super clarity. Thump up sony ericsson!

Hello everyone. The there is another few hours for the latest android update. We’d like to bring you up to speed with recent developments in our Android 4.0 software rollout.
For our 2011 range, as you know, we began our Ice Cream Sandwich software upgrade with Xperia arc S, Xperia ray and Xperia neo V last month.
Now, we are happy to confirm that the remaining 2011 smartphones; Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will start to receive their updates starting from next week.*
This software upgrade will be Android version 4.0.4 and the good news is that this latest version will also be made available for Xperia arc S, Xperia ray and Xperia neo V users, who received Android 4.0.3 the first time around.

I've tried some of the call recorder apps from the market but nothing is recording the other side's voice. Is anybody using a right app for call recording in your ray please suggest (I've rooted my ray)

> In reply to Nobi @ 2012-05-28 16:17 from X0{8 - click to readNot really. Ray's 3.3" screen is narrower than a 3.2" screen; which makes for difficult texting, browsing, reading and gaming. Try it out before buying, else you may regret later. On the plus side you get better cam and build quality and screen res. than the Neo V.

I've been using ray since 1 month and must say that it's the best phone i ever had.Everything's great about this phone, the sleek look, great 8.1 MP camera, high quality video recording, super fast downloading and good battery back up,download battery booster from the market and it'll further improve the battery life, works fine even if the battery goes to 10% as the power saver application is automatically on when it's below 20%, what more can you ask for? Hats off to Ray,thanks Sony for making such a masterpiece.

Guys i've struggling between Neo v and ray. I'll be upgrading from 5800xm and Camera is not a big concern at all. Neo V has a 3.7' display compared to 3.3' on ray which would be similar to 5800's 3.2' but with good resolution. Ray has killer looks and Neo v is a decent looker though, Neo V has Li-Po battery and Ray has Li-Ion battery, both having 1500mAh juice and i've read somewhere that Li-Po batteries offer better standby time on regular usage. Please sort me out of this.

Nah. the battery was a fail. It doesn't lasts the whole day. The programs aren't good. It lacks tools, like stopwatch, voice recorder and the like. The price is not worth it. I bought it for 12,000 pesos and I am really disappointed. I should've bought a blackberry or htc. It was really disappointing.
