All of u complaining about battery life of android phones, go to market and install APNdroid. It will enable you switch off internet access when not in use. This will greatly boost ur battery life. I used to have less than 24 hrs with my G1 before. Now it can last up to 3days with APNdroid off. I only switch it on whenever l wanna browse the net.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-31 19:44 from TgTyTo turn on WiFi and be connected, you must be in range of a wireless internet connection AND either have your WiFi MAC address registered as one of the accepted units to access internet (from your home computer), or input the WAP code (password) if at a WiFi hotspot, such as cafe's and hotels. Excuse me if lack of perfect terminology escapes me , but that's as close as I can put it right now. Hope it helps

It's awesome. Unlimited functionalities (via Third party apps). I'm installing apps everyday from thousands of free apps available in Android Market. Interesting functionalities for me are;
1. Google Apps with Street View with GPS
2. Awesome clear sharp picture quality screen
3. More home screen space for shortcuts
4. Integrated Googe Apps
5. Free apps through Android Market
6. Digital Compass
7. Text-to-Speech
8. Auto Rotation of Screen
However, some of the limitation I found so far are;
1. SIM Services Menu not available
2. Cannot go to a contact quickly by pressing a key, since the screen keypad is not come in when you open contacts.
3. Unable to Import contacts from standard file formats
4. Headset only supported by Bluetooth
5. Battery life is around 24 hours only
6. Ringtone sound is not enough
* the above limitations may be overcome by third party apps. so far I didn't find any apps.
Overall, it is a good professional phone. Not for those who need entertainment and multimedia.
Thanks.

Have been using the g1 for a while,Best phone ever!
After using the g1, the other phones are like function-less,and its practically unlimited songs in ur pocket! download 'imusic' from the Android market, and get any song for free! English, Indian, Nepali, any....!
