The resellers are those who flash ROMs full of adds, not Xiaomi. So as soon as you receive any Xiaomi phone from reseller that you do not trust, the first thing you should do is to visit http://en.miui.com/download.html , download the official ROM for your phone and you are ready to go.
Bought a new xiaomi mi4 and i am so disapointed, so many annoying ads. I was also a fan of xiaomi. This is the last xiaomi that i will ever have and i will recomend that nobody buys this cra...p You dont expect that with a new phone.
i was once a great fan of xiaomi...
i bought my mi4 which seems to be the best phone under 15000rs but then after using it for 2 months... this annoying problem occured... the navigation buttons responded abruptly first the home button started opening recent app tray and then in a few hours the back button also started opening recent app tray and after further use stoped working anymore. this was not only me with whom this problem occured... there are many users who face this similar situation in mi forum and the worst part is that they have no solution.
akkigupta, 30 Jan 2016But what about officialthat is Official .. but I think you mean over the air update (OTA), right ..?
if so, I believe that takes time to reach everyone .. in order not to overload the servers ..

if you want an iPhone with iOS .. then go for it .. but that doesn't mean that there are no "Safe" Android devices out there .. you just have to check their radiation levels on the products (or on GSM arena at bottom of product specs, if tested) ..
in all cases .. you need to have a medical checkup regardless of the phone you're having, bro .. :)
Health is paramount .. be Safe .. :)
k, 27 Jan 2016You seem to have the Chinese version. Contact the service centre. They don't know they just asks me to reset mobile but nothing works
Bought mi4i from flipkart for 8500rs last october. After 3 months phone started heating while making/receiving calls. Started headache while calling, its a clear indication of high radiation. I discontinued the phone. I had run after best budget phones, Who knows which vital organs are affected by its radiation tomorrow.
The real fact is, the bulk products which have small defects are sold as bulk in online sites, and offer great reduction in price, On the contrary side second hand mobiles on market reduce their selling rate, so they offer mobile exchange offer for 1/4th the real price.
I sold my mi4i(Ironbox) in olx for 1/2 price. I have learned a lot from mobile market.
Now my final dream is iphone 5. Cost effective, reliable, safe radiation level.
