Anonymous, 13 Nov 2015will this tab is best for games and educational purpose ? if u want it for gammimg it is best low cost tab but for educational purpose u might need conectivity and with out connectivity it is surely not good for edu.
I Installed or update just to 7.1 then also still on KitKat so minimum chances for upgrade.
Anonymous, 30 Nov 2015Hello , Same with me. I am not able to open the HD from MIPAD. Please assisttry to remove password of the hard disk and try to connect. i t will work.
Great potential although not newb-friendly. Needs an inordinate amount of tech know-how in order to experience NORMAL operation. Stick to your trusty samsung tabs and ipads if you're not into tinkering folks. If you go wrong with the software you alone will take heat(pun intended) for bricking your device thus voiding warranty. Products are supposed to come stress-free right off the bat and not to be under continuous research and development through consumers...
the piece of hardware inside the mi pad is nothing short of monstrous but the culprit here is the software which is not optimized for the hardware of such caliber. i am not into the heating club because such powerful hardware will heat up with graphic intensive tasks. problem is ram management which is pathetic. you run any music app in background and then browse on chrome, after 5 minutes music will stop because the system thrives for some free RAM and then you press home button and you see the launcher getting redrawn again, then you switch back to chrome and see chrome loading websites from scratch. the way ram management is done it seems like the device has only 512mb ram. and you will never figure out who eats that much ram even when the tablet is lying idle for few hours. the whole miui software is a beta or alpha version of a final product(however miui in my mi4 is great). wish there was some stock android goodness to the mi pad.
imran, 08 Dec 2015i have a qus...who is best tablet mi pad 2 ya....apple.ipad mini 2Really ???

Anybody out there knows how to reprogram the mi pad in order to control the 'overheating' problem? When I played games on it, the temperature would rise till 70+C° till it's get unbearable to even hold the top part of the pad for gaming. Even my original xiaomi clear case protector is chipping day by day due to the heat. Any suggestions?
For those complaining that their tablet is broken, error, shutting down, etc., just download the latest fastboot firmware and learn how to use flash that using Mi Flash. Majority of your problems will be fixed by this, I'm certain about it.
don't buy this crap. i've been use about a year, and every ota is a crap. hundreds of ota updates but still in kitkat. check out miui forum or XDA forum about this pad. This pad is dead in one year. mipad 2 is coming and xiaomi still hiding the mipad kernel.
Max, 23 Nov 2015I have already Downloaded MX, VLC & Full HD player but still videos are not playing.
even... morei am not understanding what is the problem with your tab and why is it happening. i know some apps which are not supported by this tab can show stopped working error. The vedio thing u r saying i dont know what to say because really i have 720p, 1080p, 2k and 4k vedios in my tab and all working perfectly on my tab using mx player and even with stock vedio player of mi tab. i will again say that try to download your vedios in mp4 format . mkv may cause problems even avi format may not be supported but mp4 format is perfectly fine.
another thing i want to know which version of miui you are using is it stable or developer one do tell me. and if android stopped working problem is causing you a lot i will suggest to flash your mi pad using mi flash tool and use your desire miui version you want to flash. again i am talking about pure flashing not hard or factory reset. i am sure flashing will solve all your problems. just google how to flash mi pad using mi flash tool and do it with stable miui rom.
