However, I do find a general l... moreOk, I have to agree with you on this one, even though I think this happens mostly for high end SOCs. I think high end excluded Qualcomm is not that better, either. But having a device with Snapdragon 801 released with Android 4.4, that now receives an update to Android 6.0 is quite impressive indeed.
Rich watarious, 30 Jul 2016That's right! Deca-core ten cores right! This phone would surely have performance, 4050 mAh ba... more10 core dosent mean anything, compare s820 with 4 core to s810 or exynos 7420(form s6,i think is 7420) which have 8 core, and s820 is faster
i thnik lot of core are just marketing, look ih have 100 core cpu is the fasteeess ,or is it?
Atul, 30 Jul 2016Hi guys
I wanna how to compare these processor to snapdragon
Nd processor in xiaomi redmi ... morewell look at benchmarks, but not only antutu, first it gives you score of all system, look at scores for cpu, gpu, and look at other benchmarks
this mtk has 10 core, but that dosent mean if faster then snapdragon 820,820 has much les core, and they at lower clock, but these core are just way better then cpu core that arm is making now,but on chipset is not only thing cores.. then qualcom shipsets have better wifi, better modems,in fact they better i every way probably
i think i fact snapdragon and exynos chipset are the best, mtk is good in my opinion but not good as qualcomm and sammy chipsets
performance of device dependo on milion factors,ad basicly 3 brand can use snapdragon, and that phones can be the fastes, and another 3 can use mtk, but that dosent mean mtk is bad,the 3 brands are mybe just bed brends, bed phones, with bed software and so on- thats just example
Xiaomi, first of all yr Malaysia site note 3 with 3gb ram had been out of stock since yr launch in April n mi max hasn't been launched yet. Now coming up with redmi pro. Xiaomi, r u simply 'blowing wind' as quote said. Xiaomi please sort out yr site n inventory. Don't simply launch that u can't handle.
Xiaomi completely forgot to include nfc in this phone, have they forgotten that phone payment system is getting more popular everyday....
prem, 27 Jul 2016i bet you mtk x20,x25 are the better then qualcomm's 620,625,410,425,808,810 chips and one ... moreI think I agree with you... Helio x20 n x25 are just upper midrange, but they are nowhere the sd820 and exynos 8890 level.... This year they are the beast of upper midrange socs

However, I do find a general lack of source code for MTK devices. However I also find some specifics like 6595/6572 and helio series supported by development, although less than the QC devices. Remember the Sony Xperia Neo V or V ? Most devices dont even have that much support yet, including Qualcomms.
over7, 30 Jul 2016What r u talking about man? MTK device is very respectable at antutu OK I agree with it. BUT, ... moreAs I previously commented on gsmarena I had a Vibe X2, and after one year and 3 months the wifi started to malfunction, so I had to buy a new phone. I bought LeTV One Pro, with Snapdragon 810. Snapdragon 810 is not as a bad SOC as people are complaining, the smartphone overheats sometimes, but having a 3000mAh battery I manage to get easly one day and I'm quite satisfied with that, but it overheats much more than MT6595 which was 28nm. It scores about 90K in Antutu, but it barely equals MT6595 in Vellamo and loses in Kraken (which it finishes in 5500ms vs 4500ms). Overall I didn't notice any lag in any of the devices.
After having 2 Mediatek SOCs and now a Qualcomm I don't quite get it what is this with this Mediatek bashing that I keep reading. I have bought and will buy whoever offers the most performance at about ~200$, Mediatek or Qualcomm.
Dont buy this mediatek variant, eventually Xiaomi will release the snapdragon variant. You should patiently wait for it.
I wanna how to compare these processor to snapdragon
Nd processor in xiaomi redmi pro is new or old??
rahul, 29 Jul 2016In this phone fm radio is present? It has no FM radio
so fellows when do you expect redmi pro reach the price of redmi note 3 pro but with snapdragon according to your experience with previous situations???
Anonymous, 29 Jul 2016You people don't know that snapdragon processer except the SD820 have heating issue i never heard that claim u r the first one who told that, what device u have that contains sd820??
Xristos, 29 Jul 2016hello everyone. i want your opinion on this. which one is better in general redmi note 3 pro o... moreBoth are great, but it depends on how well the Redmi Pro's battery life is. I think we'll find out soon if GSMArena gets one to review. Last time, they benchmarked the MT version of the Redmi Note 3 soon after it came out.
The Helio X20 and SD650 are pretty close in performance. The Pro's cameras are definitely better.
It comes down to the price, and the Pro is a bit more expensive, but has more RAM and memory at some options.
EDIT: By the way, it seems like the Pro uses an OLED display, so I'd call that a bonus as well.
