prem, 27 Jul 2016i bet you mtk x20,x25 are the better then qualcomm's 620,625,410,425,808,810 chips and one ... moreNo, X20/X25 series get heat issue (Pro 6 get this issue even has built in cooler component) SD 625,650,650 its better because better features, temperature, battery efficiency and supports.
naveen , 27 Jul 2016hybrid sim is the worst con for every mobile I think using single sim is better because dual sim will create lot of network wave closer to our body and may cause cancer.
Why does everybody complain about Gorilla Glass???
Are people THAT lazy to search the infos regarding the Xiaomi screens???
Xiaomi uses multiple suppliers for the Redmi screens, so these are not Corning GG per se. The actual screen glass specs vary a bit, but the numbers clearly show a superior protection. In more simplistic terms: THESE SCREENS ARE BETTER THAN GORILLA GLASS.
The toughness of a screen is measured by ‘Vicker’s Hardness Test’.
The test includes a prism-shaped diamond being pressed into the screen, which creates an indent. A VickerÂ’s Hardness Number is calculated by dividing the amount of force applied by the square millimeter of the indent.
Rating Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Corning Gorilla Glass 4
Density 2.39 – 2.45 g/cm3 2.42 g/cm3
Young’s Modulus 69.3 – 70 GPa 65.8 GPa
Shear Modulus 28.5 – 30 GPa 26.0 GPa
Vicker’s Hardness (200g load) from 534 – 590 kgf/mm2 from 489 kgf/mm2
to 649 – 670 kgf/mm2 to 596 kgf/mm2
Xiaomi says the Redmi Note 3′s screen has a VickerÂ’s Hardness Number of 649 – 670 kgf/mm2. This number is comparable with CorningÂ’s Gorilla Glass 4, which is present on most high-end flagship smartphones these days. In comparison to the Redmi Note 3, the VickerÂ’s Hardness Number for CorningÂ’s Gorilla Glass 4 is 596 kgf/mm2. It is clear that the Redmi Note 3′s display is equally, if not more adept at surviving the everyday rigors of life.
All Redmi screens are like that. Don't panic, don't rush to buy a tempered glass protector, don't tell BS about it. Read. Learn. Be somewhat smart. Enough said.
divis200, 27 Jul 2016Helio x25 does perform better than SD820 when it comes to cpu tasks.MTKs show better results in those tests because of the number of cores, which is 10, that's why. All the rest is much weaker, including, but not limited to, the video part.
Rehnu, 27 Jul 2016Expected price in xiaomi redmi pro I guess the standard version costs 15000 and pro version costs 22000
i bet you mtk x20,x25 are the better then qualcomm's 620,625,410,425,808,810 chips and one more thing in
1. benchmark of mtk dosent drop very much other qualcomm drops maximum 25to35%
2. mtk dosent heat much as much as qualcomm
i belive this are the main features for smartphone right
DennisHAWKS, 27 Jul 20161. No. 2. at certain tests, yes it may be a bit better, but overall it is weaker.Helio x25 does perform better than SD820 when it comes to cpu tasks.
shilran, 27 Jul 2016Why Xiaomi doesn't think that people need gorilla glass protection for their phones? Its not that xiaomi doesn't need gorilla glass.. They're just cost cutting tricks..
In India it should be launched with Snapdragon 652 and Gorilla Glass. Rest is Better than Best.
how do you guys know that there will be a snapdragon version? and which snapdragon version will come? the 652?
Also no gorilla glass means i have to use a tempered glass foil.
Helio x25 Antutu score is good ...close to 99000..so mtk helio x25 is not bad at all..its a good phone
Syahid, 27 Jul 2016Are the chipset faster than snapdragon 820?.. does it perform better than mi5?..1. No.
2. at certain tests, yes it may be a bit better, but overall it is weaker.
MaximusPain, 27 Jul 2016Wow, beautiful phone!!LOL, looks like Meizu, or vice versa.
Why Xiaomi doesn't think that people need gorilla glass protection for their phones?
It is good that CDMA is here, but no LTE Band20 support? Looks like all these latest modems of Mediatek SoCs, like X20/X25, can't provide support for GSM+CDMA+Worldwide LTE-bands at the same time unlike latest Quallcom's Snapdragons 82x. Or manufacturers cut them on purpose, as obviously there is no Band20 in China.
