Also it's been 2 months since I've got the replacement battery, so far so good

I purchased a Xolo q700 7 months ago. The phone was working superbly until now. Lately I have noticed that the battery has swollen to almost double its size. I am afraid to use my phone in the fear that it may explode. How can Xolo be so irresponsible towards these safety issues? I am planning to purchase a new battery. But I have figured that the problem will recur because there is a fault in the software itself. I have seen many similar complaint against this issue on the Internet. I will probably flash a new rom once I get a new battery.

My phone was working superbly up-till now but my battery has bloated very much in the past few days. I am planning to purchase a new battery. But I am afraid that that battery will bloat up too. Did flashing a q700i ROM fix your overcharging issue? If so I will purchase a new battery and flash my phone. I am too scared to use my phone right now.
JefF, 10 Feb 2014Bro,I Am Also Suffering The Same Problem...Did You Get the BAttery from somewhere??...PLease R... moreYeah I had this crazy problem too. The battery literally bloated to double its size. This problem can be attributed either to 1.manufacturing defects from the September-October 2013 batch of xolo q700
2.The incremental update xolo pushed onto this model somewhere around December 2013, which supposedly took care of the charging algorithms and messed up the way in which the battery charges.
The solution : Go to the xolo "service" center, ask for a battery replacement, citing manufacturing defects. If your purchase is more than 6 months old, you will need to buy the battery from the center itself, cause none of the shops sell third party batteries for this fone.
My experience : They took away my battery to replace it, and I had my fone for 15 days without a battery. I got it finally, and then replaced my stock q700 rom with a q700i rom to prevent the damage from recurring.
Also remember, using the fone with a bloated battery can be extremely dangerous and can damage the screen from behind.
I got my work done for free, with a little inconvenience.
PS. I approached the Malad service center which was tucked in a godforsaken corner of vaishali shopping center, 2nd floor
