i brought it yesterday and for me
zte grand x v970m (mediatek) (not the v970 grand x)

design - 6/10 [well i dont appreciate its design]
features - 7/10 [limited features]

performance - 9/10
[yeap quite fast and smooth im playing dead trigger on a high quality ]



some specs i know about mediatek version of grand x v970m


cpu - dualcore 1ghz armv7
chipset - mediatek
gpu - open GL 2.0
ram - 1gb
storage - 2gb memmory

battery - 1600mah (got a whole day w/o charging with 3dgames,youtube,browsing and messaging )
Screen - 240 ddi qh 540x960 TFT

yes mtk version of grand x v970 got 1gb of ram.,

and i have 690mb ram free

im having this phone since octobre last year. phone is real monster excellent for multitask. and brows speciali for gamses i downloaded best eye candy games and it runs them smooth with no lag, tested it in antutu and had about 6500 and they say it only sccores 5500! its stronger then most dual core phones because its tegra 2 chip, thaht i want to root for more power for next gen games and aps,i readed many webs and they say that tegra 2 with better rom can be oc to 1,5 ghz for shure and with good oc apk u can lift it too 1,7 ghz, but its not only thing to be oc they say that u can oc yours gpu from stock 333mhz to about 420 and meybe more! i will post root results on nick ''bajasadrveta'' on gsm see ya soon! ;)

everyone gets the grand x and grand x in confused including reviews by phone arena etc etc but actually gsm-arena is right this phone does only have a 512mb ram! the 1gb ram version is the grand x in. there is a big mix up! this phone is exactly as it is stated on gsm-arena.. but this phone (grand x) is still a very good value for your money! can pick one up very cheap and has tegra 2 and dual-core for a budget phone its a great start! but if you have a deeper pocket would recommend one with at least 1gb ram and 1.5ghz processor

I've had this phone for about 2 weeks now. I use it with straight talks unlimited plan. I have seen multiple websites with the wrong specs. This phone does has dual sim card slots, no front camera, and it supports WCDMA 850 900 1900 & 2100. GSM 850 900 2100. It says this on the phone behind the battery. Battery life isn't that great, but will last all day if I don't use wifi a lot. I might be wrong about the WCDMA frequencies, but the GSM frequencies are correct. I would tell you for sure but I am using the phone at this moment. Also, this phone uses the standard sized sim cards, not the mini ones.

Finding that sometimes a slight press is all that's needed; sometimes one with some pressure won't work-then I have to repeat the action. Worse on phone contacts.

I am from Egypt and I got the phone..
it is 1 SIM only, 1 Camera, 1G CPU, 1G Ram, and everything is great. it has no compass and missing sensor and I am stilll testing

The phone is custumizable depending on country that why we have diffrent specs

I consider splitting Memory is a usekless as there is 500 MB for apps which is very small and 2 GB as internal SD but anyway I added 8 GB SD,

there is a way to merge both memory (500MB+2GB) in one memory from apps but it requirs rooting and I am not willing to break the guarantee.

In Indonesia the phone is upgraded to JB but as mentioned it requires root.
