Very disappointed wanted to be able to speak with my family easier than it is via telephone or big lap top and be able to take with me wherever I go, and so far not looking good about being able to talk with my family at all. Wish I would have thought harder and not so quickly about the prices as I would have been so much further ahead to have gotten a different type, maybe I pad instead ofbthe Acer st least I no the phone I have is comparable and compatible with my Acer lap top and phone. Unless someone can suggest a way for me to connect like face time or something like that I would be greatful?????

Suddenly when i update to latest software android 4.4 Camera becomes laggy and too long to open the app what is the solution? temporarily i restart the tablet and launch the camera app, which is to hassle for me.

I just got it, and new out of box, it has very, very poor wifi reception. All my devices are 100% to my AP but this one can barely connect right next to the AP. I tried it on 2 other APs and same thing. I think I'll be taking it back as a defective unit. Unless there is a way to fix the wifi problem.

Hi can anyone help ? Got jelly splash loaded but the screen resolution is to big for the screen how do I make it smaller please as unable to see the complete app .

Bought the A1-830 and really enjoyed it, did the update to 4.4 now i wish I did not do that. As others stated takes to long for the camera to respond and the biggest thing cannot not export pictures to my micro SDcard that I had purchased. Wish I could get 4.2 back. Because of this I would not buy another one.

Hi Guys, we're a game dev studio and recently updated Table Top Racing to include a Graphics Benchmark that tests which devices can run the game on "Extreme" graphics mode at 60hz. There's a couple of devices in the world that run in this mode and the A1-830 is one of them. Nexus 6, Nexus Player, Asus Memopad 7 are the other devices we know about at the moment. You can test it yourself...

Nexus 5, Samsung S4, S5, Note 3 and 4 - none of them can do it...it's the PowerVR GPU that's doing the heavy lifting - highly recommended.

Absolutely good. I'm very satisfied with this tablet. Resolution is good and its like a mini ipad. I recommend this for everyone who dont have that much budget.

Anonymous, 26 Sep 2014Can we connect pendrive in acer a1 830? Yes, you can connect a Pendrive to this tablet since the MicroUSB is OTG compatible. I bought mine two weeks ago and tested all my USB devices on this (wireless mouse, cabled mouse and pendrive) and they all work great. I have one of those cheap OTG MicroUSB connectors (about USD$2.00).
