Acer Liquid Jade S goes official with 64-bit MediaTek SoC

Acer took the wraps off the Liquid Jade S smartphone. An updated version of the Acer Liquid Jade, the dual-SIM newcomer is the Taiwanese manufacturer’s first device with 64-bit chipset.

Acer Liquid Jade S packs MediaTek MT6752M SoC with 1.5GHz octa-core CPU. The rest of the device’s specs include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable memory, 5” 720p IPS display, and 13MP main camera. The handset boots Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Physical measures of the Acer Liquid Jade S are 143 x 69 x 7.78mm, while its weight tips the scale at 116 grams. The smartphone is powered by a 2,300mAh battery.

The smartphone will launch on December 18 in Taiwan for 6,990 TWD (about $224). A launch in India is also in the cards.
