I have an alcatel onetouch fierce xl 5450n. it has network mode 4g LE/4G/3G/2g. my sim card is 4g LTE, but when insert the sim, it display 2g white 4g LTE is activate. I am in Bangladesh and the network is robi. Please someone know how to fix it out?

Roger, 12 Jul 2017Do you live in an area which has good coverage? Try forcing the network in your device setting... moream in Nigeria but my Alcatel fierce xl does not work on 3g why

For the price I got this phone at (like 40 bucks I think, when signing up for a line with metro), the phone is pretty good. Nice screen size, looks clean, responds well. Has 2g of ram, and a decent little processor. I would definitely use this thing in a pinch again. My main concern is that 2 out of the 3 I have owned have broken volume and power buttons. If you look at the way it is constructed, it is super cheap. But overall, I'd give it a 7/10, the main concern being the dang buttons on the side of the phone.

Does anybody know if the hardware issue with this phone has a fix? My phone suddenly stop working and wont start. It power on however it only shows the alcatel logo and restart and does the same every time. I tried flashing again, go to recovery mode and nothing happens. I have been reading and looks like this is a hardware issue. Wondering if any of you knows of any fix? Thank you.

Have had my Fierce XL for just over a year. I am very happy. Not over-outstanding in any area, but the phone works perfectly in a very harsh environment and....it has awesome battery life!! Our best phone and I expected far less than it has given us.

I have an alcatel fierce 4 and by mistake pushed the Corean, or maybe Chinese language, I'm not sure what language I pushed, but I want to come back to English text. Does anyone knows how to do this. Thanks

osa, 12 May 2017My Alcatel 5054n don't work with 3g it only works with 2g because of that the internet is slow... moreDo you live in an area which has good coverage? Try forcing the network in your device settings or try dialing *#*#4636#*#* in your dialer then go to "Phone Information" and scroll down to "Set Preferred network type" -> click on the drop down list -> Select WCDMA only. This will force 4G (essentially 3G, but they call it 4G since it's a better version of 3G). If after forcing this you don't get any signal then that means you don't have any 4G coverage in your area. Don't try forcing only LTE because you won't get any calls. I've experimented with this before and calls won't come in since the phone doesn't attempt to connect to 4G/2G for calls (since it is forced to LTE only). If WCDMA doesn't work for you then set the preferred network type back to the setting it was at which I believe is "LTE/GSM (auto PRL)"

How do I get this phone to work on Straight Talk? It was unlocked after the 90 days required by MetroPCS and I have a SIM card in but anytime I try to change the APN settings so I can use it with ST it just says APN settings are not available for this user. What do I do?
