I sell this phone for a Metro dealer. I do NOT recommend it. Some people get this device and it works ok but I can tell you honestly I have never done more warranty replacements on any other device besides this one. I've had battery/charging problems, antenna problems, SIM/SD card reader problems, speaker problems, headphone jack problems.... It goes on and on. And there are so many being done that typically it takes up to or even over a week to wait on warranty stock availability. Then there is also the problem that on a lot of models the touchscreen has very low sensitivity, and the soft keys tend to be even worse. The camera is not very good either.
On paper this phone looks great, the hardware is exceptional for its price point but do not let that fool you, there is a reason it's so cheap. If you want to try it out go ahead, it may work great for you but do not be surprised if it's full of problems.
Also for the people who have the auto answering problem a hard (factory data) reset is for sure the only way to clear this issue. Be sure to remove or verify your gmail information first however or you will be stuck with a paperweight. Like the other commenter mentioned his phone will not go past the "enter account information" screen after a reset. There is simply no way around this unless you have the login information for the gmail account that was originally on the device. Do a google search for Android Reset Protection for more information. Also if you're having the issue where you can't send pictures or your LTE data is not working properly it is a problem with you APN settings. You need to create a new APN with these settings only: name = MetroPCS; APN = fast.metropcs.com; MMSC = http://metropcs.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc; APN protocol = IPv6.

I love this phone however the only thing I hate is the fact that notifications don't appear at the top of the status bar. For example, when I get a text message the icon appears but the message content does not scroll across the top of the status bar. Is that just how this phone is made or is there an option for that?

Bought two of these phones from Metro PCS, one for my girlfriend and myself. Absolutely love this phone. The 16GB Memory is bigger than most phones at this price point. The 5.5 inch screen is gorgeous and super clear. I wasn't sure I would like this big of a phone, but now I don't even use my 7" Samsung Tablet anymore. I watch movies on it and I am amazed at the clarity. It has a built in FM radio which is also very cool. Overall, I am very impressed. Great bang for the buck. Highly recommend.

The reasons AM (and Shortwave) in 'phones is a problem has to do with 1, Antenna size. An AM (MW) Antenna in a portable radio is a long coil (hundreds of feet!) of wire wrapped around a ferrite core. Any decent performance would require an antenna thicker than a modern smartphone. Shortwave antenntas on portable radios are 4 to 5 ft long metal telescopic antennas, again no one is gonna put one in a smartphone. 2, a big problem with AM (MW)/SW is due to received interference from all the RF generated within the phone itself even if you cleared all the other factors, that alone would ruin any listening on those bands. Broadcast FM on the other hand is mostly immune from that interference, and requires a simple wire as an antenna. (Hence the use of one of the headphone wires.) TuneIn covers many AM Broadcsters (and some bigger SW ones) But, natch it uses data.

I had trouble sending and receiving pics until I went into settings/more, mobile networks/prefered network settings/LTE off. It worked fine after doing that. Dont know why the LTE doesnt work properly but now I am able to download and send pics

I even hard reset the phone and it STILL doesn't let me se... moretry resetting the apn to default (it should be an option in the menu while you're on the apn settings) doing that network operator search and ask metro to refresh your network. I work for a dealer and that's solved this issue for us a few times.
