After asking Alcatel customer service for a clarification on the front camera resolution, I got this answer:
Dear XXX,
Thank you for contacting Alcatel Onetouch!
Sorry that we have cancel Fire S project.It will not available in global marketing.

Regarding primary camera, on Alcatel website they are showing 8mp in intro and 5mp in specification. I asked on their official facebook page "which one is correct". They replied camera is 5mp, not 8mp, (as mentioned here in gsmarena specification)

I hope the screen glass is corning glass 3. I'm kinda confused of the primary camera. It says here is 8megapixels but in alcatel one touch website its only 5megapixels. Please release this in Philippines I want this so bad

hmmm, 26 Jul 2014still launching, ok is supporting whatsapp Yes you can use WhatsApp in Firefox OS using an app called Loqui IM. This single app support multiple chat platforms:
=> WhatsApp
=> Google Hangouts
=> Facebook Chat
=> Nimbuzz
=> Nokia ovi
=> Microsoft Lync

Anonymous, 28 Aug 2014I hope it comes with 2gs ofram... I need to know it's ram.You don't need 2GB of RAM for Firefox OS. Minimum required RAM is 256MB. Recommended is 512MB with which the OS runs pretty smooth. If you have 1GB, then that is more than enough and you will never utilize that much RAM with Firefox OS.

Taking too much time before release date. I'm already loosing interest in it. I was excited to try firefox os back then but know I'm not that interested anymore bcoz asia release might be impossible too.

Its release date is wrong. It may release later this year. Specifically in Q3, 2014. Reference:

Q2 release till long way of waiting...

In the MWC 2014 Firefox COO talked about releasing it in the end of the Q2 2014. Not in Q1.
There's plans about realising it in Asia and Africa but no date has been sugested.
