rrj, 20 Aug 2015Can anyone share their experience to the update 15.08.06 plsThe update is pretty stable on my AFP already update it yesterday and now it still pretty smooth, i didn't notice any lags
How do I transfer files or apps from internal/phone storage to the external SD card? I noticed there is no "move to SD card" option in App Manager.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2015lol that is just not true. i had an alcatel one touch idol and no way it takes better picture ... moreif only i can photocomment the samples of both phones. the front cam of Idol is a joke though but the rear cam works better
got my AFP two weeks ago and i really like the phone but one thing i have found out after a couple of days the speaker of my phone became so choppy and seems the voice will not be heard during the conversation but if i put on loudspeaker there is no problem at all..so, i returned it to Lazada and hopefully the replacement will arrive soon...so far..the phone is amazing performance as well the price...its worth the price!
Hi Guys thank's for all the updates on how the phone is performing.
To all PINOYs using the device I just want to ask how is the CALLS and DATA RECEPTION doing since it only has 2 bands on HSPA.
Im worried because what i've noticed is that other phones with 4bands or more does well in regards to reception, and sadly
phone with just 2 bands like 900/2100 on HSPA aint really working well.
For example I had no issues with using the GS4 and the Xperia C3 with SMART's 3g. but when using a LEnovo A859 its useless
and the AFP's band is similar to the A859..
so any IDEA on how the DATA and call reception is? or will it just be poor like the lenovo?
I'm really looking forward to getting this phone as an EVERYDAY handset so please help me out
wew, 20 Aug 2015 hey sir big game! ONE LAST QUESTION? can i play NBA2k15 with this? even in black market? and ... morehello wew, yeah I can play NBA2K15 with my Flash plus, but got some issue with sounds, the sounds is like came from inside the can of sardines.
PutongBangus, 13 Aug 2015Alcatel Flash Plus or Huawei Honor 4C - which is better? If you're not concerned with call quality, and heating issues while not in use, 4C is a winner specially in the looks department.
Sad news to flash plus users...Android M is about to release anytime soon, yet this phone havent progress even Android L... In some country there are many who is hoping it could receive next OS update...but it seems Alcatel does not care for their End User..theyre just after for their profit...it is true theyre always abondoning their end user..as for report they are not going to develop an update for Android L a sad news for Flash Plus user which will make their Flash Plus Obsolete in a year or two...people are patronizing their products yet this brand does not care for those who bought their products...what a shame...next time try to boycott this Brand who always abandoned their end user..other brand such as samsung, sony even lenovo try to develop OS to compete the current competition... Imagine Lenovo's K3 Note which release almost the same with Alcatel Flash Plus, K3 Note is about to release Android M as soon as OS is available...soon their will be no Alcatel patron since they are always leaving them empty handed...so guys please boycott this brand since they don't care for you...don't support for their product in the near future as will experience the same fate Flash Plus experienced..go for a brand which let their user enjoy the current trendtrend..
Noypi, 21 Aug 2015here's another. my alcatel onetouch idol's 8mp rear cam captures better esp in low light co... morelol that is just not true. i had an alcatel one touch idol and no way it takes better picture than the flash plus. rear cam is better and front cam of afp is way better than idol.
Got my phone this week. Does anyone have the problem using Google Play? I can't use it in my home wifi. It says "Connection Timed Out". The other devices here connected to our wifi works. When I try to use ourr pocket wifi, it works. Does anyone know how to fix it?
my alcatel onetouch idol's 8mp rear cam captures better esp in low light con compared to this 13mp cam.
and what it looks large speaker at the back is a lie. slowly cover the speaker from right to left and you notice a only a small portion gets sound interfered.
more to come.
BTW, gotten my phone rooted easily. batt juice is incredible
I tore out the mobile data thingies to completely disable that after shutting off the settings. The signal was bouncing like a ping pong ball anyway. That's a great way to get really upset with it. I'm using a new 3G Smart Buddy SIM. Maybe you'd have better luck with it on Globe or something else? I was considering a Globe LTE SIM for this phone but I already have one in a pocket WiFi device as my backup connection. So no real need.
WiFi seems pretty stable and quick for most things even at range on the AGING router I have. The only slow part SEEMS to be when downloading apps/games. Not sure why. Otherwise the WiFi is quick as could be.
With the hardware this phone is packing, it should be able to run just about anything Android you throw at it. Now would be a good time to start hoping you don't end up with the special model... the "Insta-Broken9000POS" when you get one!!
I'm also waiting for others to post details about that 15.08.06 update. Considring the horror show the previous update provided, I'm not too keen on attempting any updates!!
You can try that custom Lollipop ROM that I mentioned before. Other comments here and other sources were saying there won't be any other Lollipop update for the AFP. But at least there's something resembling a chance at it.
Rooting it was all too easy. But if the warranty IS a concern for you, just skip it. I rooted it so Titanium Backup would work and I could transfer games / apps + data to this (my new) phone. I have tons of stuff on my previous (and still working really well :-) ) 5+ year old Galaxy Mini phone. Trying to start over from scratch with even half the stuff I installed on my previous phone would have been a horror story all its own.
After using this phone for a week, here are my reviews:
-LOTS OF BUILT-IN USELESS APPS. It needs to be rooted in case you want to uninstall them
-Loooooong battery juice life 1-2 days
-Very LIGHT to carry
-total internal memory capacity is 11.69gb
-boring UI, ive downloaded a launcher to solve this prob
-customization is limited compared to other phones
-the protruding rear camera must be in safety always to avoid scratches on the lens
-in my opinion, it's true that it has a layer of Dragontrail glass
-NO visitor/guest mode
-good for watching 720p movies
-1080p pic quality
-DONT INSTALL MANY APPS TO SAVE RAM. Especially large ram eaters
-Always clean ram to avoid lagging
-dont update OS immediately. Wait for other reviews
-i havent tried to root it yet. Warranty may be void.
-Provide yourself with an Sd card, 11.69gb is not large enough to phones like this
Phone is good enough for it's price and the quality is higher than its local competitors. Customizations are only few so you need apps. Hopefully a lollipop update will be available soon to fix this issue. Always remember that it is a cheap phone so you need to take good care of it so that it will not be damaged and still work properly after a few months and years
