kole, 22 Oct 2014Set your SD card as default storage location. This should solve the problem.Actually is the other way around.He should set the phone storage as default.

I have this phone about a week. For that time the phone has restarted itself many times. The battery sometimes shows 1% power and it lasts for 2-3 hours. Any solutions?

I got this phone few days ago and it came with no sd card (dont know if I'll buy one because the phone's memory is more than enough for me). However, whenever I connect it to my pc i get only 2 options available PTP (picture transfer) and MTP (media transfer) but the third one (or rather the first one as they appear on the phone) the "Mass storage" option is greyed and cannot be selected. Why is that? Do I need some sort of driver or that's normal since i got no sd card (when i put a mem card the "mass storage" option works just fine but does that mean that i wont be able to transfer files other than pics and media from my PHONE to PC?) Thanx!

For those who have battery issues, try to disable "Scanning always available" option in wifi advanced settings.

When I try to play the music player (native music app) it finds no files while. When I go to the file manager mp3 files I see. It happens 1-2 times a week. In addition, I will cancel the selected ringtone and automatically set to the original. It happens anyone too? I've tried reset phone to factory settings, but it did not help. I'm starting to get shit. I think about complaints .... anyone have any advice or experience? Thank you

i think, xperia t3 is a good alternative for this devise, almost same price, but t3 gives you more better screen size,screen resolution, battery life and screen protection

Hands on small mini review of alcatel OT idol 2 mini s (LTE single sim)). The phone is light, very pleasant for holding in hand and operate by one finger in spite that I have small hands. It can bee turn on and off by hardware button or by double tap non the display. It is very fast (Asphalt 7 is smooth) and has a lot of settings. Easy and fast synchronization over google account. After turning on You have 390Mb free on RAM and 5Gb ROM. A lot of apps can run simultaneously and they can bee easy turn of separately or by one click all and RAM is on 390Mb free again. Internet viewer is fast and by one finger tap you can change the size of text and it reformat the paragraph column.
Battery after 40 minutes went to 76% from full charge :-(. Only wifi on and full brightness of display. I hope it will improve after several recharging.
Camera is not very fast in focusing in spite that it prefocus all the time. Old HTC HD7 seems to bee faster.
Video focus is a big problem. During shooting it is trying to refocus every second or two, focusing in a big range and it is awfull. I did not downloaded my own video but here is video from review on mobilenet.cz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jSKsIbaDKg#t=16. I have solved thist problem but I hope some software upgrade will solve it definitely.
Temporary solution for problems with focus in video. I have downloaded from play IgCamera (btw nice app with a lot of settings) and there is possible to set fix focus to infinity and problem for most situations is solved. Thanks to very small chip and short lens the camera has big depth of field a you will receive sharp video except very close objects.
I had the phone for short time thanks to stupid mistake of oeprator (T-mobile), they sold me phone blocked to operator. It is not allowed in CZ for many years. They did not know how to unblock it, they even did not know that blocking exist :-/. I have the money back ad I have to buy it somewhere else.

I am using this phone like 2 weeks and i am very pleased!!!
very fast and good specs no glitch at any app or video,
processor is A7 and yes it is no lies very fast and no worryes about RAM memory u can open 30 apps in seem time and wont glitch for a moment!!!

First impression when i receive this phone is: 4+
Alcatel (TCT) has made bulls eye with this phone.
Fast, smooth, easy to configure, comes with pre installed apps like FB, Whatsapp, Viber, Dropbox and lot of games :) and still 4.5 GB of free phone memory. Fast response to commands. The only thing is that if you put "hot" SIM card in slot you will have to restart phone in order to get good calling characteristics.Have Noise cancellation for call is a option. Battery is not removable, good display.
Best buy for money you give. In my country available at VIP operator (Austrian telecom). Has 4G option if you have 4G Sim Card. Works with micro sim card.

Does this phone save videos recorded as mp4 or 3gp. Want to buy this as i like idol mini so much but saves videos as 3gp hope.

I have a little problem with this phone. No matter of what Are you doing the phone gets over heated right below the camera. It is not something serious and it don't cause a lagg to the phone but i wanna know why is it happening? Do someone knows? P. S Its a great phone and i love it.

george, 06 Sep 2014how upgrade in android kit kat?I've tried "Mobile Upgrade Q 4.5.4" tool from alcatel page but without success. There is message: "There is no greater software version available to upgrade your phone... " Great phone though.
