all the alcatel phones look good... you bought them and in the first week you will say "uhh so awesome, nice phone , etc" then they start getting slow ... don't buy an alcatel
Are you kidding? I had Idol 3 (preordered it at $199). Screen got cracked just from carrying phone in the pocket. After that touchscreen function did't work on the broken part of the screen. I did not have that issue with my Galaxy S 3 and S 6. Dragontrail Glass is not near as good as Gorilla Glass 3 or 4. Otherwise Idol 3 was a good phone for the money. I really liked front facing speakers

Alcatel phones look stunning at the begining but then you realise why they´re so cheap....It´s better off invest your money elswhere....Right now the only shinese capable of deliver updates are : Huawei if you can afford more premium and Xiaomi
I bought Idol 3 and am very sorry. No 6.0 update, Alcatel takes your money and laughs, you will not see a major update. If I can save one person from buying this brand, then this post has been worth my time.
Phonenerd, 08 Mar 2016if there was a fingerprint reader it would be perfectI agree, the only thing missing is the fingerprint sensor. If it had one, this would be the perfect upper mid range phone.
Sagar, 25 Feb 2016OK so here the big let downs 1) No gorilla glass 2) Non removable battery 3) 652 process... moreThe idol 4 may not have Gorilla Glass, however, it uses Dragontrail Glass as does the Idol 3. IMO, it is definitely equal to, or better than Gorilla Glass.
I have an idol3 and have loved it. Was really looking forward to the 4s. But the resolution is too high for the CPU (and will cost in terms of battery life), and the lack of a fingerprint reader mean that I'll have to look elsewhere for an upgrade. Too bad :-(
OK so here the big let downs
1) No gorilla glass
2) Non removable battery
3) 652 processor
4) No finger scanner
BUT if this is priced below 15,16,17K(rupees) .. this would be a viable option for someone who need a QUD display.
KinnY, 22 Feb 2016and also nt mentoined Gor-Glass3, Dolby stereo nt der.. bt frnt flash was nice.. dat's itA gentle reminder, actually, it is not Dolby Speaker, but JBL speaker.

Very nice looking phone. But not for me. It lacks 2 important things I need from a phone now. Ir blaster and finger print screener.
I need those 2 as I use the ir a lot around my home. All my device are controlled from my phone.
Would be perfect if screen were 1080p. 1440p is abusing its GPU a bit too much.
indian govt releases a circular that regional languages support is mandatory in india. i think now alcatel cannot release phones in india. because it dosnt support indian regional languages like hindi telugu etc
