indian govt releases a circular that regional languages support is mandatory in india. i think now alcatel cannot release phones in india. because it dosnt support indian regional languages like hindi telugu etc
just your usual "hold my beer while I put this mid end SoC on premium phone"
AnonD-399271, 21 Feb 2016GPU of 810 is better.I agree the new adreno gpu is faster than before, it doesn't need a lot of power to stay correctly.
ivesco, 08 Feb 2016652 > 810v2 :) The new adreno gpu is enough faster for 2k displaysGPU of 810 is better.
Was about to buy Lenovo Vibe X3 and then this was announced. Now i'm confused between these two (Vibe X3 and Idol 4S).Both have stereo speakers. But Idol 4S doesn't have a fingerprint scanner otherwise this would have been perfect imo. They should have added a fingerprint scanner, still awesome phone nonetheless. Suggestions plz...
wow, this is really looks good. Very nice design alcatel. I hope that the battery endurance is also amazing.
horrible mistake going with this resolution... not even the Mali-T760MP8 in the S6/Note5 can handle this resolution when gaming, the adreno 510 doesn't stand a chance... why they don't use a 1080p panel is beyond me, would've made this a phone worth considering
HeLRaeZeR, 13 Feb 2016I strongly recommend not to buy this unit, it may possibly disappoint you like how it disappoi... moreThe one touch idol 3 really impressed me I think some people still see alcatel and think no way as with skoda once. But I have loved this phone for the price the screen is full hd very bright and has excellent contrast the cameras especially the front facing are well above average. As for the speakers they are a flagship component and no mistake. Stock android close to and a reasonable soc too I shall definitely be staying with alcatel as a quality upper mid range brand they need not be coy with their nomenclature any longer.
AndroidMan, 19 Feb 2016How can you compare mid-range smartphones with high end ones? You should really reconsider you... moreYes, their phones are lovely but I think the main problem of Alcatel is that they mostly "abandon" their products. in other words - once that phone is out, they won't release anymore software updates or upgrades, unlike some other brands.
I love the specs on this phone and it looks attractive, but...my problem with Alcatel is that they abandon their most of their products; lack of software updates/upgrades, terrible support.
More Android huh ? No thanks, MWC2016 has officially tanked t this rate !
the phone looks ravishing. killer looks. what will the price in India?

You should really reconsider your option, have you tried the Idol3 ? It's a piece of art! Qualcom Octa-core, 32GB storage, 16MP camera. Only to say that the Idol4 will be a blast with the glass finishing in the back. Did I say it's reversible? Meaning you can take the call either way, upside down! :)
The picture is missing the fingerprint scanner right underneath the camera in the back.
I strongly recommend not to buy this unit, it may possibly disappoint you like how it disappointed me when i bought their ALCATEL FLASH PLUS (AOPFP). I was really like awed when i bought it during their released, and they promised that they will release a lollipop update and they never release an update , not even once, and after that they then release their new model ALCATEL FLASH 2 which has now a lollipop OS, I suggest that you better buy other brands of phones , cause other brands of phones, even local brands even have a lollipop update, BOOOO TO ALCATEL. >.
