i had it for 8 months till now
lately the buttons 1,2&3 on the touch screen STOPPED responding which make the phone useless
otherwise it has a very good value for money!!
I've not even had mine a year and the 2 button doesn't work at all and that mean a, b and c don't work either and am I right in thinking that those buttons are firly important buttons? Rubbish! Now I am gonna have to tackle the folks at Carphone warehouse which I have heard are rubbish in customer service! Great!
bootz148, 02 Sep 2010how do i capture photos??you touch the screen
Coward, 19 Aug 2010Yeah, it works like a charm, I remember the guy from the store who told me that this phone was... moreCan i buy any additional covers in different colours for this type and model of phone?

Nixey Nox, 20 Jul 2010I've had this phone a couple of weeks now and am very pleased with it. It's a very cool piece... moreI'm agree with Nox Nixey regarding OK / Send button. and for updating the software at first I had problems but solved them.
After software upgrade, this phone improves performance. I recommend all users to update it.
HAJRA, 14 Aug 2010yah it does have a bluetooth so it wont be a problemYeah, it works like a charm, I remember the guy from the store who told me that this phone was crap and that I should take a nokia or sony ericson for what I was looking for, listening mp3...
In the end, i got this phone with a 2GB microSD card and with some prepaid credit on it.
This phone is the best deal for a prepaid phone replacement, the mini opera browser (a java version downloaded from the Entertainment icon) does suck actually. Also I still can't connect with the Alcatel PC Suite software properly, but is not a must. The USB 1.0 cable is not that slow 800 KB/S.
It has not games, but i guess the CPU is to slow to handle anything decent.
You get for what you pay. If you hope to get a lot of things paying less...you're wrong... I'm very happy with my Nokia 1209: I got much than what I paid for it...
Does this phone support stereo bluetooth, cause i want to replace my old nokia which doesn't have it, and because listening 256kbps mp3 in AM radio quality does suck .
Had phone for nine months. Touch screen not working so can't get at any of the apps and what's worse can't download contents on to PC before sending off for repair when it will be wiped!! Not a lot of use when touch facility goes west. Will this see the end of touch screens?????
i buy that phone today. it dont have enough performance to watch a simple gp3 video. i install some games. it gets a hour to run games. but good on design, music player, touch system. i like that self-pen so much! but with performance, (at total) its 2/10 (sucks)
Well, having given it a good review a few days ago, I now find myself in the same position as several other users, viz. the phone has just stopped responding to touches. This makes it useless - I can't even answer a call, let alone make one! I'm going back to the dealer today to demand either a new phone or my money back.
I've had this phone a couple of weeks now and am very pleased with it. It's a very cool piece of kit. Only three quibbles:
- I can't get the software updater to work. One stage 2 it gets about half way then just hangs. Not that this matters as I have no problems with the existing software, but it is a tad annoying.
- When texting, the OK/Send button is too close to the caps lock key. I've managed to send several half-finished messages because of this.
- If switched off, even for a short time, the phone forgets the date and time.
That's it - I would give the phone 9 for design, 6 for features and 5 for performance.
Anonymous, 28 May 2010i to am having trouble conecting to pc i dont know how to set phone to com portDisconnect the phone, then reattach it and choose the COM port option. This will enable the PC suite to connect to it. However, as it's treating it as a serial device communications are slow and if you have media files to copy to the phone then connect as a USB mass storage device instead: it now appears as a drive on your computer (actually two drives, one for the phone memory and one for the micro SD card) and you can copy the files directly at USB speed, which is far quicker.
mimo, 20 Jun 2010does this mobile support e-buddy or windows live for mobile phones??
or generally, can i inst... moree-buddy/windows live: no.
applications/themes: in principle yes, but there is currently only one application available to download, viz. Opera mini. I hope Alcatel will add more, especially games as the only one built in is rubbish. I suppose it should be able to run most java games - has anyone tried this?
