Samee, 07 Aug 2011I heard it has dual sim! Is it dual standby too?Yes, it does have dual standby... just bought 1 2 days ago... haven't had much time to study the details...
Yup Spice Mi 270 have 600Mhz Processor but battery Standby and Talktime is about half of Alcatel. Rest of specifications are same.
And how about GPRS? is it gud enough in terms of Speed?
This mobile is available for 4000rs & dual sim version(890D) is available for 5000rs at BigBazaar. OT-890D is bundled with 2.2(foryo) update. Bt by spending 600rs more Spice is offering mi-270 wch has the same features with 600mhz processor also has gud responsive touchscrn(resistive only).. So i think mi270 is a best option..
Bought 5 aug 890d in greece
Yes there are two options 890 and 890d
Alcatel uses d for dual sim
890 costs in greece 109€ and (surprise) 890d costs 95€ (so you can buy 890d and use it as a single sim phone)
It runs android v.2.2.2 So its froyo and not eclair
It is a very nice phone (I use 2 sim phones) and costs only 95 €
I personaly prefere resistive touchscreens (when browsing or with email I can point and shoot with everything which is more accurate than my fingers)
It comes with a 2 giga SD card (this is not much but it is included) and has a very strong wifi
Battery is ok, you dont have to charge it every day and i'm using wifi and make/recieve many calls. Depends of how much you have the screen on.
Call volume and quality are very good (actually i'm using two providers and one has much better quality than the other, so it is a provider issue and not phone issue)
So far i'm very satisfied, it covers exatly what I want from a phone)
And it comes in nice colours too
can anyone tell me how to work with the bluetooth im having so much trouble and the icons r multiplying on the left up corner wich annoys me to hell how do i delete them???? HELP
yes i got this phone..there are two models. one if the ot-890d which is the dual sim dual standby model. Pretty nice phone
Samee, 07 Aug 2011I heard it has dual sim! Is it dual standby too?No, it does't have dual sim capability.
I want this phone. Where can i buy this.
Features are amazing & its what the price. please reply someone
This is very worst phone.speed is not good.touch is very bad compare to other android phone.why company not improve their touch qulity not only for this but also all alcatel touch are poor(BEKAR,BAKWAS These some comment from who using this phone)
I have this phone for more than a week and I must say that is great. It has soft and comfortable shell, bright display. It has resistive touchscreen, I didn't know the difference between this one and a capacitive but now I really prefer the resistive although it's cheaper to manufacture. The difference is that with the resistive I can use everything to press the touchscreen, fingernails, toothpicks for precise typing, and I guess in winter I can use this phone with my gloves on. The capacitive can't be operated like this.
The apps run fast, angry birds go really smoothly. Browsing with wifi is fast, but turn off the GPRS, because lot of the apps are set to use internet automatically, and if you don't have a wifi hot spot nearby they will use the GPRS connection and will spend your money, so just erase the GPRS proxy server IP address and don't worry.
At first it is difficult to press the touchscreen, but you need to calibrate your press sensitivity. After a week you'll get used to, and it won't be a problem...
The battery life is ok.It lasts two days with lot of use.
And a small thing to add, I don't now if it 's my mobile network provider fault, but the speaker has a low volume. It is not a very big problem, but in crowded area sometimes is difficult to hear the person on the other end.
Final words for the mobile phone company that is selling this phone:
Please, hire people that know the technology that you are selling. Educate them, give them android phones to use it at home.
It's simply NOT ENOUGH to point and print this page from gsmarana.com!
I think this purchase could be disappointing experience if I wasn't satisfied with it.
this phone is purchased for 30 euros
