Hi was reading a lot of stuff on how to get ics on the phone, thought I had it sussed out, so download the alcatel update software from their website, and connected the phone to laptop, then did the upgarde to2.3.6, then started it up again, great worked so connected again thing this would upgarde to the ics version, said doing upgarde, said succesfull, but after turning on and setting up for the second time, thought |i check the version but not ICS but still gingerbread most ignoying, any ideas as I am in Uk, and phone hasn't been released here. so the one touch upgarde software is the only way as no OTA updates. Also it is the same spec hardware wise cpu and ram as the sony ericsson arc s, but with a front camera, which I use to own, yet does anyone else noticed it locks up, also you got wait bout 5 seconds for it to start to open webpages, and signal on phone and wi-fi is patchy at best?

Steffeson please help. I already done CWM on my phone according to Serbian page with the flash bat that they provide. But now when i try to enter CWM recovery with command prompt on my pc while the phone is connected with the PC and turn on, I type adb reboot-bootloader and then says that adb is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Also when phone is off i press the volume up and power button but then turns up the little green android men with the package for 3-4 seconds and after that the phone restarts please tell me what is the problem, and how to enter CWM recovery to make backup and to complete the upgrade to ICS thanks upfront.

Hi, I live in Holland, can someone maybe tell me how to upgrade to 4.0, I still stay on 2.3 when I use the one touch upgrade thing?

I used the serbian page and 1 link from yt that gived me one friend from Macedonia its easy just need to think and do what they say :D I have ICS now on my 995 ^_^

Got into CWM mode by runing boot.bat from the cwm_cocktail_stock folder (the phone must be in recovery mode vol-down+power). Then u unpack OT995_4.0.4-FR.zip (4 files in it) into the memory card. And u restore that image from the CWM backup/restore.
Hope that helps u (worked for me at least).

Hi everyone,
I had purchsed OT995 few days ago. I likr the design, screen colour,size and the HDMI connectivity. But the problem is, it happened several times the phone restarted by itself and sometimes hanging for a period of time. Plesse help me!

Have anyone tried to overclock this phone cause i have it running on ics and also rooted and cwm flashed but this kernel does not support overclock has anyone done it?

The OT-995 is definitely the best buy compared to The Galaxy Ace Plus..
And if you update the OT-995 to ICS 4.0.4 you can't even compare the Galaxy Ace Plus with OT-995..

Or else connect to OTA via computer and do an "UPDATE" wich is actually a FACTORY RESET, and then ROOT, CWM FLASH again and then RECOVER FRENCH_ICS and do the WIPE CASH/FACTORY RESET and see if that works..
It sounds to me that your ICS recovery installation didn't really install 100% correct, look trough my guides again and follow the steps.. ROOT, CWM FLASH then ICS RECOVERY and WIPE/RESET.. Should work..

But read a few posts below and there's a post from "Ozzy" a guy from Australia, he followed my instructions on how to install ICS and it worked for him, ask him if there's something he did different than you with the installation?
But the "How To Install ICS" should workout the same on all the OT-995's all over the world?!?!
I hope you find a solution to the problem.. :-\
I'm gonna check for a solution to, if i find an answer i post it here..
