i have problem with alcatel ot 995. about blutooth and wifi. its so mabagal and alwayd disconnected wifi. blutot cant access. please help.

robert, 15 Oct 2012can we read and modify excel files on this phone?Offcourse you can, just download an office app like Kingsoft Office an start read/edit all office documents like Word, Excel etc..

AnonD-75835, 14 Oct 2012Can i upgrade my alcatel ot 995 to android 4.1?Sorry, but JB 4.1 is not avaliable for OT-995 at all and Alcatel is doubtfully to release it for OT-995 i think, but fortunatily there is a JB 4.1 developing at this very moment, a did see some really nice screenshoots of the OT-995 JB 4.1 earlier today and it looked really good, according to the developers they're almost done with the JB 4.1 for OT-995 and a ROM release should be on the way shortly.. I hope it's true, couse i would love to get JB 4.1 on the OT-995..

qqq, 14 Oct 2012when i try to update via fota it says that there is no update information , i also downloaded ... moreYou can not update to ICS 4.0.4 via FOTA or One Touch Upgrade if you aren't living in France offcourse, you have to downloaded the modded French ICS 4.0.4 and then boot into CWM or best flash CWM to your OT-995 and then make a backup of your 2.3.6 and then copy the French ICS 4.0.4 to phone and then boot again to CWM and do a restore from the French ICS 4.0.4..

X, 14 Oct 2012did you update to ics from official alcatel source via One Touch Update or FOTA, or did you us... moreI did not use the official update service BUT i used the official French ICS 4.0.4 version for OT-995 from a clean CWM-backup where the ICS 4.0.4 version is changed to work with the 2.3.6 bootloader version and restored my OT-995 with it and it worked.. :D

Then over ONETOUCH upgrade who has found a ... moreSame thing happened to me yesterday, but I think that One Touch Upgrade didn't downgrade the phone, just renamed the current version back to 2.3.6 without removing the FOTA update you made.
How do I know? because when I bought this phone with 2.3.6, whenever I plug in or out the earphones, the screen wouldn't turn on (it wasn't a feature in this ver.), I updated via FOTA to 2.3.6 010 06 and this feature was there. Then, I thought I'd check for ICS via OTU, I let it download and waited for the process to finish, when I powered on the phone it was still on GB and worse back to 2.3.6 :(
Then I plugged in earphones and what do you know, screen turns on! Meaning that it's still on the same FOTA ver.

Hi,
Been testing everything multiplytimes now in The ICS 4.0.4 on my OT-995 and so far there are just two "faults" i've detected..
1. When the phone is in standby mode and you click the powerbutton to light up the screen and the "startup screen" comes up it tells you there is NO SERVICE witch is quite funny becouse when i unlock the screen and the i've got full service from networkprovider and everything is working?! (Just a minor cosmetic problem to me anyway)
2. When the phone has been in standbymode for a while it has now two times shut itself off, and i've been forced to startup the phone again.. I'll get back to this problem if it continues and if so i'll try to fix it..
That's all the faults/errors so far running ICS 4.0.4 that i now of.. :)

Hi,
Last post before bedtime, i've now checked the system and everything in ICS 4.0.4 seems to work perfectly fine on my OT-995!!
I've also ROOTED my OT-995 again succesfully with ICS 4.0.4 installed without any problems..

Hi again,
The moment of truth was a PERFECT ICS 4.0.4 installation on my Alcatel OT-995 Ultra and everything seems to work just fine and incredibly smooth..
The French ICS 4.0.4 version wasn't a complete multilanguage version but it atleast contained English and that's fine for me anyway..
Gonna keep you updated on how ICS 4.0.4 runs after i've checked the whole system out, but it looks perfectly good now i can tell you at a first glims of it.. :D

Hi guys,
I've just flashed CWM to my OT-995 so that in a coold startup holding UP VOLUME BUTTON + POWERBUTTON at the same time the OT-995 boots into CWM (ClockWorkMod)..
I then did a backup of my 2.3.6 Android system and i'm now gonna do a restore from the French OT-995 ICS-version and see how that works out..
For info the French ICS-version is multilanguage so for me who is Swedish it should not be a problem..
Let you now later how it worked out for me.. :)
