I updated via OTA to 2.3.6 -010 06 1 or something. Then over ONETOUCH upgrade who has found a new update back to 2.3.6. now I'm stuck and I can not update to 2.3.6 010 06 back over ota
Does anyone have any idea

AnonD-74708, 11 Oct 2012My ROOTED OT-995 Ultra with Android 2.3.6 - 010 06 is working perfectly without any overheatin... morehi how did you remove inbuilt applications like 3d launcher, antivirus etc..... i had rooted my phone to but was unable to remove such useless apps. awaiting for ur kind help:-)

Anonymous, 13 Aug 2012hi guys i have bought this pone from mumbai... i had rooted this phone...but do to some error ... moremy problem is solved now..........this is rajesh kalluri from thane as mentioned i my phone was not switching on just was showing recconect white display becos i had rooted rooted my phone and did factory reset due to some problem with music player ....and the solution is i replaced my motherboard and now its brand new again ......so dont think so much its just 14000rs whem i took with 2year warranty no other brands give u 2 years warranty but this is only balid in india....... as i experienced this phone is tooo good at such a cheap rate if compared to other branded phones and the best advatage we can root it bery easily without any headache.....which makes ur phone much faster than bfore..only problem is camera clarity gives not so go it gives 3 mp instead of 5 mp if cimpared to Lg,samsung and nokia and it has little heating problem but this is normal u find in all phones......even i had experienced it with my lg optimus p500....just go get it... service centre os available in mumbai.. dadaronly

I've cleaned out the system from stock apps and the builtin antivirus + 3D launcher etc and gained more free RAM becouse of that.. :)
The phone is so good for the money that i enjoy using the OT-995 more than my Galaxy S2 becouse of that.. :D
A very good phone, really recommend it!!

I have been using this phone since a month now. For its price the specs are superb and so is the handling, camera, interface.
However the phone erratically hangs, reboots. Battery charging is also erratic thus washing away the price benefit that I got while I bought this phone.
To my surprise the phone suddenly switched off couple of days back and is not starting since then neither does the battery recharge. My handset could be the one bad one out of thousand good handsets! but you never know !
I would suggest you better think twice before you buy this model. Samsung Duos could be a better choice at an additional price but it assures peace of mind.

im very pleased , 09 Oct 2012it does not have gorila but i has protective glass and its vey good phoneCorning gorilla glass is a type of protective glass that woids scratching the surface of a display there are two types of protective display type 1 (HTC Desire) and type 2 wich is thinner (Samsung galaxy S 3). I e-mailed alcatel official site about the type of screen protection on OT 995 they did not respond so how do you know? this is a good phone but 4.3 inch display without protection. ...

So far i'm satisfied with the performance of the OT 995 . For a price almost half compared to the leading brands,, i tell its worth your money,, go ahead buy 1.

rajesh, 08 Oct 2012i have made plan to buy this mobile... i heard many problems...like software problem...restart... moreHi, i've been using my OT-995 for like 3 weeks now in ROOTED mode and with a cleaned system from all the shity stock apps and i haven't had any problems what so ever with the device..
I also got a Galaxy S2 that offcourse is much better than the OT-995 but i compare them anyway and i must say that the OT-995 surprices and is really really good considering i only payed 1000 SEK (144,43 USD) at the reseller..
I defenitly recomend the OT-995..

I have an alcatel one touch 995, for some reason I cannot open any mms, it says to download but then dosent do anything, i tried to open mms settings but cant find anything to help???
