I bought this phone a week ago (i had Alcatel 990 before it) and here's my review
Pros
Big, clear, bright, and sensitive screen
HD camera that shoots nice on both photos and videos
Fast performance
Light weight
Head phone and ear piece are good
WiFi is great
Cons
Flash not working with video recording and it takes time to save longer HD videos shoots.
Battery drains more quicker than 990
Building quality is not the same with 990, it's less

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2012do you have any problems with the wi-fi because a lot of people sad they hadi have had no trouble with the wifi. and i can't update to ics atm. maybe because i have to download a Alcatel upgrade app over all a good phone have not found a app i can't run smoothly. sometime i have to clean ram to get them to work otherwise it works fine. the actually ram you can use is different from 512mb and is more like 380mb. it could just be my phone i don't know.

I have this Phone and it works great..fast browsing just no timer on camera and if use with wifi just last for 30 hours, but over all performance is good, stylish and slim.. many colors to choose from... never regret having this mobile.

Got the phone yesterday for only PhP11,990 at the Alcatel kiosk at SM Megamall (Philippines). So far so good. Firmware is already 2.3.6.
I'm not having problems connecting with the wifi router(WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK). A lot of bloatwares are pre-installed and quite a number are running in the background, but I am not noticing significant lag inspite of this. Tinkered a lot with it last night to set it up, customize, browse and install apps. Still has 50% battery til this morning.
Nice big screen, snappy interface and decent battery life. Happy with it =)
