alcatel ot 995 is available in india as reconnect phone in reliance digital stores.
it is best phone for value for money.
iam using it and absolutely no problem, with it.
it is smooth and fast responsive.
you wont be disappointed at all.

Fine handset.
I've found not better handset for this price
Xperia Arc S is probably a better handset but it's also 30% more expensive

The biggest change Ive noticed with the update is Facebook integration in contacts. It now syncs properly :)

Glen, 26 Jun 2012 read the technical specs..I have. Both have 1.4 ghz cpu, 512 mb ram. But the arc s has a better camera 8 mp and Bravia engine. Plus it's a Sony :-)

Native phone internal ROM (memory )data will be shown at Settings >sd card & phone storage> but for RAM we will have to download an application like ZDBOX (free and one of the best)to specifically know the data. It will show around 363 MB of free memory as around 200 mb will be used by normal internal phone processes. It will be the same as in ROM. Remember that phone specifications indicate that INTERNAL RAM is 512mb (300mb + functional) while internal ROM IS at 2 Gb.(1.7 functional memory to be used more or less) a smaller ROm Indicate alot of internally used application processes.

I contacted Alcatel a couple of weeks ago.. This is wh... morewell i dont think it's just a matter of luck..the day i bought the phone, i had everything i needed tried out first..especially skype coz it's one of the important things i needed on the phone..we dl-ed it at googleplay and it says the device is compatible..after doing so, i tried logging in to my account..wat greeted me was a notification saying that the phone can support video call but is actually not verified by skype of how it will work..something of this sort came up when i first logged in..i just clicked OK and enabled video calling on the next prompt..i dint touch anything except the "start automatically" selection for i dont want skype to automatically start when i use it :3 i seldom use skype on my phone since i only contact my boyf during the night when im using the laptop..anyway, i tried it before i sent this reply to you and it actually works well :3 he just complained about the clarity being way off, but other than that, it works fine..urs is also the first one i heard of skype not functioning (in terms of video call) on this unit..myb u have a defective one?
PS: sorry for the misspelled words, i was shortening them on purpose.. :D
