I've found not better handset for this price
Xperia Arc S is probably a better handset but it's also 30% more expensive
AnonD-46278, 27 Jun 2012same price????? alkatel is 200euro and arc s is 350euroHere in the Philippines both cost 15000 pesos :-)
The biggest change Ive noticed with the update is Facebook integration in contacts. It now syncs properly :)
Glen, 26 Jun 2012 read the technical specs..I have. Both have 1.4 ghz cpu, 512 mb ram. But the arc s has a better camera 8 mp and Bravia engine. Plus it's a Sony :-)
For the same price, better go for Xperia Arc S. It has a better camera and Bravia Engine. Almost same specs.
Hello, Could anyone using alcatel ot-995 let me know if there is an option for Incoming call barring such as Call Settings>Call barring>Incoming calls>All calls except SIM directory>
It would be a great help. Thanks
rin, 23 Jun 2012may i know how u found out the internal rom size is? where in the phone is it listed? thanks!:... moreRevised---- Hello Rin. Native phone internal ROM (memory )data will be shown at Settings >sd card & phone storage> but for RAM we will have to download an application like ZDBOX (free and one of the best)to specifically know the data. It will show around 363 MB of free memory as around 200 mb will be used by normal internal phone processes. It will be the same as in ROM. Remember that phone specifications indicate that INTERNAL RAM is 512mb (300mb + functional) while internal ROM IS at 2 Gb.(1.7 functional memory to be used more or less) a smaller ROm Indicate alot of internally used application processes.

AnonD-60236, 22 Jun 2012hahaha. i did it i bought the phone. i used to be an HTC Legend user. I have to say the phone ... moremay i know how u found out the internal rom size is? where in the phone is it listed? thanks!:)) i want to verify coz i think mine is just around 1gb internal rom? :3
Mike, 20 Jun 2012Well.. Thank you for sharing the info.
I contacted Alcatel a couple of weeks ago.. This is wh... morewell i dont think it's just a matter of luck..the day i bought the phone, i had everything i needed tried out first..especially skype coz it's one of the important things i needed on the phone..we dl-ed it at googleplay and it says the device is compatible..after doing so, i tried logging in to my account..wat greeted me was a notification saying that the phone can support video call but is actually not verified by skype of how it will work..something of this sort came up when i first logged in..i just clicked OK and enabled video calling on the next prompt..i dint touch anything except the "start automatically" selection for i dont want skype to automatically start when i use it :3 i seldom use skype on my phone since i only contact my boyf during the night when im using the laptop..anyway, i tried it before i sent this reply to you and it actually works well :3 he just complained about the clarity being way off, but other than that, it works fine..urs is also the first one i heard of skype not functioning (in terms of video call) on this unit..myb u have a defective one?
PS: sorry for the misspelled words, i was shortening them on purpose.. :D
love this phone its faster than the samsung ace :)
spec wise amazing..cant wait to be selling these.
hahaha. i did it i bought the phone. i used to be an HTC Legend user. I have to say the phone is great. hmmm i mean for the value of(...converting.....)around $317 here in the PH or so.. i am really enjoying the phone's usability. it's large display is quite impressive, unlike my sister's Galaxy II worth around $604 which is also very impressive, LED display is "cooler" to the eyes than the oversaturated AMOLED display. yeah for real. I love that it is still great under the sun's glare = screen legibility (v)check... Internet browsing is fast! Ability to replace home icons with apps from the app market. SPB shell 3D launcher always impress people, it's for free out of the box. has shazam.. palringo.. antivirus already installed. Camera and Video recording is awesome especially during the day. Comparing it to my old phone, which i sold due to being bored already with it, the specs of 1.4 Ghz CPU speed, 512 (around 300+ actual) RAM, 2 Gb internal ROM, 5 MP Cam with flash, the phone is already up there with such contenders as the Galaxy's and the Iphone. My bro has an Iphone and i can brag that i have more fun with mine too. (we also have SIRi- SKYvi! which really works!) Things that i just dislike about it are: Front camera is not that great, it is kinda dark if there is no good light source when u take pictures. No Hardware button for Camera, i get annoyed with trying to guess where the virtual button is(i downloaded BIG Camera Button in App Market)..also disliking occasional "lagginess" once battery is less than around 40-30%. Yah the battery doesn't last for more than a day.. well on a routinary call-text heavy use. (and even more if u use WIFI alot) but most phones nowadays are like that...I'd hope it had battery muscle (1500 mAh is the usual standard). Huawei HONOR has 1950 mAh, i just wonder how that would work.. overall i love my phone 3.9 out of 5. hehehe. i hope this is helpful. I hope gsmarena makes a review already!
