So far I'm happy, Internet speed is OK, no problems or freezing.. Though I believe it doesn't want alot of apps installed... But it's acceptable.. For a low end price smartphone, I give it 7/10. Worth buying..
Suddenly sound from stop working can't hear any output sounds. I connect it to Bluetooth headset but still no sound

I've had cheaper phones that have worked better.
Worst phone I have ever owned. Its slow like I've never experienced before.Loaded with crap apps you not only not need but also can't uninstall.
In short total crap.
D'alba25, 24 Dec 2017Not happy at all with it. Bought it a month ago and it lags a lot. lags? this phone is so slow it almost goes backwards! bough it as a cheap replacement for my galaxy while it was being repaired but the galaxy is dead and buried so kept the pixi a little longer but today it is getting replaced and probably smashed up as it is one of the worst phones i have ever used in my life!
D'alba25, 24 Dec 2017Not happy at all with it. Bought it a month ago and it lags a lot. i find it strange you having problems. I bought my phone in August 2017 and I have not had a n issue with it since. The screen does get a bit dirty and the touch is a bit sentastive but when you clean it again it works like a charm and battery life is wonderfull
Just bought this phone 2 months ago, its performance it's good, downloaded a huge amount of apps and had no problem, I can have 5 to 10 apps opened at the same time and works really good, the only problem is the data network, it sometimes goes away and turns back, and also feel like sometimes the speed of data connection is slow even though I'm with a 4g network provider, but evertyhing else has been good.
I bought my Alcatel pixie 4 2 weeks a go, and having connection problems every 5 to 10min I lose my service and then I have service again. I'm spending a lot of money on data. If I don't get a reply from ALCATEL by Saturday I'm taking the phone back to the shop to get my money back to by a Samsung, iPhone or Sony and not a Nokia it's manufactured by the same company as Alcatel?
Joe, 18 Aug 2017I seem to have a sml paint bush appear on my front screenThe paintbrush that appears on the screen is to clear your recent search history and clear up space..
Nicholas, 15 Oct 2017I have Alcatel pixi 4 have used for a year have forgotten the pattern please helpYou have two options: factory reset the phone (you'll lose all of your apps and app data, but should be able to recover photos and files if you backed them up to your gmail account.) To factory reset the phone, hold down the power button and volume down button until it boots into the recovery menu. Scroll down with volume keys to factory reset/wipe the phone.
Second option would be to use recovery mode to flash a malicious exploit to gain root access and unlock the phone's bootloader. This will allow you to modify every system file and recover all of your data. Personally I'd flash a custom ROM line Lineage OS over Alcatel's borderline malicious original ROM. Somebody commented about not updating the phone because the updates are malware... I'd normally laugh at that; but in this case it is mostly true; however the whole operating system is at least spyware. I know what I'm talking about; I own this phone and have decompiled parts of it's application code as well as captured network packets proving that the amount of data about you reported to Alcatel/TCL mobile shocking to say the least. IMO this is the same Chinese company behind Lenovo (and they have been caught imbedding hardware backdoors and spyware on their computers.) Oh well, what you aren't aware of won't keep you up at night I suppose.
By the way, method #2 is extremely complex (if it's a Qualcomm CPU; much easier if it's MediaTek CPU) and if done wrong you will brick the phone for good. I'd do it for you, but it has to be done weird into a computer over ADB. I'd post a tutorial; but it involves malicious exploits that can be used for no good. I say factory reset it and/or next time by a phone not made by a Chinese company (sorry not trying to be insensitive here.) Made in China is fine; everything is made their lol... just avoid Alcatel, Lenovo and pretty much any phone from walmart haha.
Oh and do NOT encrypt this phone. It will fail and either you'll lose all data, get locked out (even recovery mode) or it'll just stop working and be messy for awhile until the flash storage is cleaned up.
Another word to the wise: this phone has a script imbedded deep hidden in the system that purposely reads and writes really fast again and again to flash storage; it's designed to wear out the chip eventually killing the phone (planned obsolescence at it's finest) DON'T leave in an external sdcard because it will do the same thing to your poor little microSD (and those sdcards have a high failure rate as it is.)
Good luck to all who own this phone. It's nice hardware for the price (I paid $20 for it at walmart.) But you get what you pay for...
I got alcatel pixi4 power a year ago which works OK except every now & then it does not ring when incoming calls unless I restart it. It does that every day. Any help please.
Have a big problem about the volume...can't even hear when someone phones or when I want to listen to music ,its really low and the battery doesn't last need to charge it about 3 times a day
Anonymous, 24 Sep 2017I am at my wit's end with my Alcatel pixi 4. It has been nothing but trouble since I got it a ... moreI agree! I have purchased this phone for its cheapness, and the fact that it had a 52-week return deal. I liked it at first, but i download quite lot of apps for it's display, and i hate it's lagginess! rubbish for cheap people! not my thing. honestly ! ;(
I purchased this because I really didn't want to spend much money on a phone. I was very satisfied with it for the first half year, but I downloaded a lot of apps for my display and it slowed down and I really didn't like the camera quality. If you don't need it for photos, or for the quickness, then I recommend it. It's very cheap.
Great value for money in my opinion best phone under 100 pounds in the UK , great IPS HD screen with 720hd video just do not update the phones software as the update is Malware and slows down the phone to the point it becomes unusable also the camera for an 8mp camera is crap , i have to take pics in HDR all the time otherwise they are fuzzy and ugly , if you can live with the flaws this phone is awesome
