I have a Alcatel Pixi 7 Tablet and it works just great. I don't use it as a phone but I do use the Map app and the GPS app, check my email away from home. A great tablet for me.

Easily the worst piece of tat I've ever had the misfortune to buy. Slow, terrible display, freezes on a regular basis, overheats, it has it all!
But it's cheap! But it's awful! Seriously, avoid...

Good size. Slow to turn on. Battery life not very long, even WITHOUT using apps that use a lot of data like music or video. Resolution stinks. Images and video not very sharp. Got it for free thru T-Mobile. You get what you pay for I guess.

Try Kingoroot, 1click.
Did my 4.4.4 the other day, nothing would touch it.
Leave Wifi ON for these root apps, they communicate with servers sometimes to get boxes of latest scripts to work thru.
