Amazfit Bip 3 was unveiled in Brazil nearly two weeks ago and it is now going global alongside the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro. The two smartwatches share nearly the exact same specs with the only difference is that the Pro model gets a built-in GPS receiver.
Both Bip 3 models pack 1.69" TFT touchscreens with 240x280 px resolution. They are outfitted with BioTracker 2 PPG biometric sensors and support heart rate, blood-oxygen saturation and stress level tracking. You also get activity tracking for over 60 sports modes. The batteries on both wearables come out to 280 mAh and are rated at up to 14 days of typical usage. Battery life on the Pro model will presumably take a hit with GPS usage. Both watches are 5ATM waterproof and connect via the Zepp app to any Android 7.0+ iOS 12.0+ device.
Amazfit Bip 3 comes in black, blue and pink colors while Bip 3 Pro gets black, pink and cream options. Pricing is set at $59.99 for the Bip 3 and $69.99 for the Bip 3 Pro. Bip 3 is also listed as coming soon on Amazon India.
It is a pity that the company Amazfit stopped Bip S with a transflective screen in favor of AMOLED. This new watch only makes us slaves of charging. Therefore, I will wait for a new watch with a transflective screen or buy it from another company.
I personally have a Bip S and love it. The Bip U range ARE good though and deserve exploring if one is on a budget. I just hope that the massive fan base of the Bip S means it will not be discontinued in favour of the S series.
