Android Lollipop 5.1.1, the latest available OS version, is now seeding for the LG G Flex2, or at least for its Korean version, sporting model number F510S. That puts the G Flex2 among a select group of less than 1% of Android devices that boot Google's latest.
The build, carrying internal designation F510S15b, is dated May 12, but is only now making its way to the device. As well as bringing the OS up to date, the new firmware is said to fix certain bugs, improving performance along the way.
Additionally, and that may be more readily noticeable, the Smart Bulletin and Smart Notice features have been disabled by default, again aiming for a performance boost. Naturally, you can re-enable both of them from the home screen and widgets settings respectively.
With the release already out, we should expect global models to follow in the coming weeks, though obviously no specific timeframe is available.
