At its grand online launch event today, Apple has shared a very interesting sales-related tidbit. It turns out that the company has already managed to sell more than 500 million tablets, ever since the first iPad arrived on the scene back in 2010.
That's not too shabby, if we dare say so ourselves. This is the first time Apple has given the public any sales number regarding its tablets since 2018, as it is usually quite secretive about these things - unless it has something to boast about, like it did today. In that case, it's happy to tell you how successful its various products are.
Speaking of iPads, 53% of customers buying one right now are buying their first iPad ever, so this is probably meant to imply that the tablet field could still be growing, especially with the newfound pandemic conditions. Apple has also reiterated that, unsurprisingly, iPads have the most customer satisfaction of any tablets, by far.
To make sure it moves even more of them in the near future, the company has unveiled the new iPad Air and a refreshed entry-level iPad today. Don't miss our pricing roundup of the new devices.

I've accidentally sat on my previous iPhone 11 pro Max several times. I've accidentally sat on my laptops several times. They never bent or broke. Me and my family simply not interested in buying cheap quality products.
