This iPad runs on a Bionic chipset. We all know Apple's silicone is strong but we also know how hard they throttle in long gaming sessions. The Samsung remains a better option overall thanks to the more stable SD chipsets.

The battery is decent, but a plain vanilla Samsung is better for a... morebuy a nillkin armored case and you wont have any problem. by comparing with samsung i think you compare it with tabs s6 lite or s7 fe. for your info ipad mini is far better than both of them in gaming. it can load cod and pubg full frame rate and hd while those two samsung cant and lagging while playing

The graphics are excellent. The battery is decent, but a plain vanilla Samsung is better for a third of the price. If you take lots of photos this ipad is better than Samsung. If you want to side load programs like Tubemate without a jailbreak get the Samsung. The 3GB of RAM works well even in China. The Samsung can be tweaked in the developer menu to go a bit faster, but hangs with 2GB of RAM. I find myself less impressed with Apple all the time. Another thing is the battery runs hot when the weather is hot. I have had two other ipads and they started ghosting on two different trips to Malaysia. Another drawback is the thinness, which makes ipads fragile outdoors. When I take a trip the iphone is used for photos and the Samsung for everything else.
If you are planning to buy an ipad mini, even 2nd hand, I would suggest you go for the 4th gen, since it is upgradeable to ios 14, or if you have the budget to stretch, go for the 5th gen, as support will be longer.

Great iPad. Works flawlessly whit the most demanding game I played on iOS (iPad os) or android yet (Genshin impact). 60fps all on max.

but anyways i can still use my ipad mini 5;for about 2 or more yrs and hopefully without sluggish or slowing down once updated to future ipados.
