Imo72, 15 May 2016Hi, can I use iPad Mini 4 as a phone? ThanksYes you can, I'm one of those crazy Asians who uses an ipad pro 9.7 as my daily driver phone. I plan to upgrade to the ipad pro 12.9 when the new one comes out next year and use that as a 13 inch phone(lol don't laugh). All you got to do to turn any ipad into a phone is to first make sure you buy the LTE version of the ipad. Then download any voip apps that let you create a local phone number(so then you can make calls and text using this number). Since I'm from Canada I use the app "fongo". There are other apps on the app store that let you create your own local number like talkatone, text plus, next plus and some others. Then just get a data only tablet plan from your local carrier so then you can use that data to make calls and text plus surf the Internet. The good thing about using the ipad mini 4 as a phone is that you can fit it into your pants and jacket pockets, something you can't do with the ipad pro 9.7 or the ipad pro 12.9. I tried fitting an ipad pro 9.7 into my pants pockets but it didn't work out HAHA. Good luck and if you have any questions just ask.

I was on my way to buy an iPad Pro 128 gig with pencil and type cover it was fr...g 1300€ only wifi, so I decided to wait, is it worth it. I always had iPad Air. But then in a store they told me that I can buy a return device only the box was opened and that I still had warranty and 100€ off it was an excellent deal just not over 500 I got a 128 gold wifi iPad. I had the type cover Bluetooth and the anti glare plastic. The cover cost me 15€ and the audible pouch from Herschel which is so cute. I never used the 9,7 inch pro I like rose gold but there aren't still apps for it with that kinda money I prefer adding money to a Mac book or pro or even a surface pro 4 tablet

All Apps acquired for free or paid for will likely get updates as well.
Your device will, however seem weak and out of date in a few years. Been like that since the first commercially built computers.

I'm actually a fan of Sony. However, iPad mini 4 is undoubtly the best tablet in the market right now. Light Reflection is the lowest, screen is exceptionally bright and sharp, colour reproduction is very very accurate, Battery life is good:

The speakers are loud and powerful with no distortion so there is no need to buy a bluetooth speaker for it.
However, if you want to listen to Hi-Fi like sound with headphone, Sony still excels. Sony really knows how to make good sound:

Highly recommend iPad mini 4 if you are looking for a tablet for web browsing and text book like reading such as PDF files.
