They already outsold every popular name mini tablet combined, in 3 days of it's release. This is not counting being released in China, or India. Good job apple.

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2012oh, if storage is an issue, the buyer can simply buy a 32 or 64 gb. programs cannot run off t... moreThe reason Apple doesn't and probably won't ever include external memory is because of that planned obsolescence, because an 8gb iPhone 3g becomes useless as people's needs and tastes change over time, where an 8gb Galaxy S has plenty life left in it because you just add more memory.
And it's not about whether you can afford an Apple product or not because if you want 1 you buy it, but they really are designed so they not at all future proofed and quickly become fit for the trash because now memory is one of the most important things and Apple basically work a similar way to the US car industry where cars are basically disposable and not made to last.

This is why Asus and some other manufacturers have phased away from putting a sd card reader into the device. If "price" is an issue, simply don't buy the product. It's just like not everyone can afford a benz right? Don't buy it then. Just because the item is "overPriced" to some people doesn't mean it's a bad product. Also this is not an "android" device, so multitasking is not really an issue, as the average person is probably running 1 application at a time anyways.
Zezimaxkill, 05 Nov 2012Love this device I have tested it in The apple store I like the sharp screenThe pixel count on the screen is really low considering the price of this thing, because you can get 8" Android tablets with 1366x768 and exactly the same Cortex A9 CPU and 1gb of ram for about half the price of this, plus you don't have to spend hundreds of Dollars extra for 64gb version because you just buy a 64gb card for $45.

And then of course Apple makes even more money because they design everything they make with a very short planned obsolescence.
Zezimaxkill, 05 Nov 2012Love this device I have tested it in The apple store I like the sharp screentotally agree. I couldn't put it down, other customers were playing with it for so long. for 512 mb, it sure doesn't feel slow at all. It was doing things seamlessly. It's a little expensive, but it's totally worth. Best mini tablet on the market. Another site thinks this is the best tablet in apples line up.

If you go ask a pr... moreAn Android can be programmed to do absolutely anything because Google gives you complete freedom, and yes if you wished to you could use Android as an interface to control things to do your laundry.
But do you remember when Apple tried to make it illegal to Jailbreak? That's because they only want you to use the phone exactly how they want it used.
I noticed this doesn't have the standard 7 or 8 inch screen that most tablets have, and one of the only tablets I found that came out before this doing the same is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7
And I know when anyone finds anything similar that Apple did first all the Apple Fanboys jump up and unanimously accuse them of copying, and since Samsung did this before them then by the Apple Fanboys logic Apple must be copying again.
