iphone has an ARM 620 Mhz Processor
when u buy a mobile phone u buy a phone not a PSP to play with as for games there are heaps available on the iphone installer. Pls be practical with ur phones
I absolutely agree with John!
No, It doesn't have that fast processor - it has 416 or 520, something like that, but no 620.
Hp hx4700 (made in 2004.) had that processor.
other than the UI another gud part is that iphone has a 620 Mhz processor...thats the highest freq in any of the commercial pda's or communicators up to date.
Iphone really freakn sucks!!! buy other DECENT phones like nokia or sonyericsson! The software is bull and the price is too unstable, who knows it might again drop its price.
There is nothing new about iPhone, the only thing that sold this is the funky graphics and animations. The rest is old school, but some of you who only have extensive knowledge about phones find things such as multi touch screen or tilt sensors/accelerometers a magical leap in mobile techonology. How shallow.
This phone is using yr2000 technology. The only thing that is selling this, is the user interface. Credit to the Apple programmers who have made playing with a phone, a nice and interesting experience.
But to call this a leap, a new standard in mobiles is propaganda started by apple. Maybe you should say its a leap in mobile user interfacing.
Do you guys know how old tilt sensors/accelerometers are?? It makes me laugh when people think apple has "contributed to technology"... infact, this phone has taken more steps backwards than forwards. No video capture, no mms, cooperate conferencing features, no 3G, no infrared, no external storage and on and on and on.
Its good for people who like something easy to use, something with a nice user interface, pretty much like a bimbo with easy access, but in terms of a new leap in mobile technology, this is the worst example. Give credit for its user interface, but not its technology.
For those of you with a bit of knowledge in electronics and engineering, open it up, you find the controllers and memory modules as in the old ipod and other old gizmo's.
The most important part of any mobile device is interfacing. How the user interacts with the phone, and thats where Apple has taken the leap. Not in technology.
A technological leap is not adding a sensor, or increasing memory or speed with pre-existing components.
to chandresh: not iphone does not get hot, and that is not normal, but dont buy this phone, it sucks!
are you going to buy iphone2 as it comes?!!,I mean iphone1 is enough for every thing(exept bluetooth),isn't it?
for iphone to upgrade so you can transfer your contacts from pc to your iphone
ur fone's battery must be faulty. my one 8gb doesnot heatup at all.
its a phone with wow factor. i saw this first then bought a LG viewty. because its only on O2 in uk. some crappy contract not many mintues or texts. and they dont do it sim free. ha ha O2 big mistake on you. so i think the only thing that would make this the greatest phone is
a 5 meg camera and 3G. and being a sim free handset. maybe apple will listen and do this to the new iphone later this year.
I live in India, can someone tell me as to if the Iphone HEATS up on usage? I used my Ipone for the 1st time for about 2-3 minutes on an incoming / outgoing call & it heated like it was on fire... Please can someone tell me if it is normal. BTW Apple has not officially launched in India but we are using the cracked version of the Iphone
