seeing you've never held one of these devices in your hand makes your opion pretty much worthless. At least test the phone before making a comment.
In fact, I don't think you have even read the review on here. You say the iPhone is too big... yet the picutre comparison on this site shows it is no bigger then the N95. A clear indication you have not actually held this device ... or taken the time ot research it.
Here is a fact, Apple has shipped over 1 million devices already ... with their very first shot at the mobile phone market. And they haven't even released in an other market then the US.
Add to that you have mobile vendors lining up to be the next to sell this phone in Europe.
Please do some research then post.
The I Phone:
well, it's nice, yes, very nice, thin and with a wide screen, 4-8gb.
but what about the BAD things:
-the battery life(only 250hours, and a SE is 350-400 hours ) and the 2mp cam without flash :-(...
-and do not forget the slowness of typing a number or a sms,
-this phone is really big! imagine having this phone in your jean's pocket.
-what about sending music tracks with bluetooth, is it possible, or will it be protected like all the Ipods are?
and why so big? like the american cars, big and crappy...? why not making smaller like Samsung, SE, Nokia and others do?
this phone is not a real phone, it's only a "rich, dumb" girl's gadget. it's only going to be a fashion product
it is dedicated to the US market and not for the EURO market mentality.
I m disappointed by the work of Apple on this Iphone project. they could have done much better. like SE does with the w960i for example
I m from Belgium(in Europe) and no perfect english writer, so i m sorry for the typing faults.
Hey Folks, I'm willing to buy an Iphone but, I live in Canada and my Rogers is my wireless carrier. I found the an unlocked I phone in many website hence, www.hi-mobile.net is it true that the phone is unlocked or is it simply a marketing strategy ???
Your help is much appreciated
This is just the first version of iphone. You will see new ones with 3G and better cameras as well as GPS. Give it another year. Apple is in the game now and will fight hard to compete.

To all those of you who doubt the capabilities of the iPhone, let it be known that i wrote this comment using my iphone. It is seamlessly and intuitively functional, and revolutionizes mobile communication. It is a wonder that such a thing has only recently come along, but it was well worth the wait. I challenge any of you reading this to go to an apple store, try one and then not buy one.
If it wasn't for Steven Jobs you would still write C: on your MS DOS black and white computer, the IPhone may not be perfect to your liking with G3, memory and other things, but it is the first mobile platform driven by a superb software, and if it was not for him you would still run around with CD and tape players, he had the genius to expand the Ipod platform into a worldwide standard, stop stupid criticism and recognize what he did for all of us, with a lot more to come zune guys!
End of Nokia is near. Twenty years ago, I have predicted how computers would look like today. I was right. And some six years ago I have predicted unusual phones like this (Apple iPhone) coming out of the market. I had also predicted cellphones would be much like computers today where you can change and customize the chips, memory, video and sound cards inside. It's now starting to happen as generic Chinese phones with features like touchscreen, 3.2 mpx cameras, built in TV, AV players are proliferating the streets here in our country for a very cheap price. I'm saying now goodbye to branded cellphones and hello generics!
guys I really feel like buying this iphone.I have a w810i & I'm totally satisfied.Do you think it is worth it to sell my w810i & get this apple iphone? How are the features? The camera?I've heard it takes so long just to dial a number ,is it true?I don't care about 3G.please answer, I do need your help!
Does Anyone Know how to put nes roms onto the iphone? i downloaded an nes emulator from the instrall feature on the iphone i just dont know how to get roms :S
To: Mr. Job (Apple CEO).
The iPhone is for the USA market like Pontiac Trans AM, Ford Mustang and GM Corvette. Great cars for USA but not intelligent buy in the rest of te world unless you are an oil producer etc.
With the features of iPhone, it can NOT compete head on with the big boys like Nokia, Samsung and SE. THIS ISS A FACT FOR non-USA market. USA has Motorola as the big name and NOT like rest of the world where Motorola is not a key player.
You can release it in the rest of the world but with low profile campaigns and GET READY with an improved version of the iPhone to be launched in Europe/Asia so that can have 3G, MMS, Video, 5+MPixel camera, MMC card for data transfer, GPS, etc.
NOT A LOT OF EUROPEANS will leave their Nokia/SE/Samsung home and carry around their iPhone as their prime mobile handset. Few Europeans will buy it as an extra toy but this will jeopardize the GOOD reputation of Apple in Europe if you want to compete head on with the big names in the mobile business.
Take it from someone who has worked in all world continents, 30+ companies with one of the biggest USA multinational companies and with 12 years telecom experience.
i wont buy this phone coz its not a phone..
From the reviews I've read it takes 3 times longer than other phones just to dial a damn number.. This phone is for rich dumb people who just want to waste their time poking on a overrated endorsed device.
But of courwe this is a first Gen device so we can expect changes
I think removing buttons with tactile response is just a bad idea..
the guy who sed that nokia n95 8 gb is not 3g.are u on crack man?go read the review.it is 3g.
it is overrated i reckon.i was wating for it to come out and when it did and read the specs of the phone its quite limited in amny aspects. i mean common, they didnt inlcude 3g techonloogy in it.how dumb is that?a company so big ass apple i rekon should have done there research better.im from aus and cdma is phasing out over here.its all 3g.why make a phone without 3g.for all i knwo apples gonna loose al its business from around 21 million.it looks like a cool phone.best thing is the ipod thing.but without 3g.nnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaa.wont work out right
"My iPhone has about 30 3rd party apps, making it more advanced than any other cell phones out there."
LOL!!! My phone also has over 30 web pages bookmarked, but I don't call them "apps". We all know that web apps suck.
Tell me. Does your 3rd party apps include GPS navigation (like TomTom), or file manager or voice dialing, tethering, video call, video recording, A2DP, Copy paste, Java support, flash, etc... (list is endless)
BTW: I can use all the same web apps as iPhone can. But I don't, because they suck and I have much better native apps available.
because this phone is not 3G it will not be taken by all networks. It will be available on O2 first. Vodafone probably won't be getting it
