this phone is not upto the expectations there are more phones better than this to n93 or n91 is best than this worst phone
700,000 sets were sold in FIRST week. That's a record. Gotta try it to see how it works. I think still early days of iPhone although it got a lot of popularity before the launch.
Will this phone work with other GSM providers?? Will this work in INDIA?????
It is simple I generate an expectation that could not cover.
he is not the best smartphone, not even a good smartphone.it has many deficiencies
to Patrick Seehanach :
Dear Patrick, Do you mean we are too stupid to see this iphone is fantastic ? Let us say, we are smart enough to see behind the marketing and realise it isn´t. compared to latest Nokia, Samsung, SE,..... mobiles it looks poor. Anyhow whatever, this forum is there to review mobiles, not to tell people they are too stupid to understand what PP ( perfect patrick ) means.
If apple made an ipod that can make calls, ok with it. If apple wanted to build a mobile , than they failed over the whole line. Really not smart from apple to enter the market of mobiles without any knowledge. Nokia, SE, Samsung.....feel safe, this will never beat your devices.
I think its not worth it no 3g and some told me if your useing the web u can get calls
yo anyone know when they will let the second release happen?? I want the phone but can't get it anywhere;; they're all gone
Hi there:
For Patrick Seehanach :
Citing you : - iPhone combines 3 different devices in one; functionable mobile phone, ipod, and web browser. Those are what Mac has focused and created on iPhone.
Mobile phone with many rip off features.
Ipod, yes almost any new phone can play mp3 so it's nothing new.
And Web broser, indeed good but without flash many webpages will looks incomplete.
Iphone is a nice cellphone but everyone must keep it low the hype.
Is it just me or is the Iphone the most over antisipated release ever. The features on it arn't anything amazing compared to a lot of other phones out there. Most phones have internet capabilities now and MP3 players. It seems to me that it comes down to the standard Apple hype that when ever a new product comes out Apple fans get all wet and excited and go out and tell everyone else out there how good it is when at the end of the day it is outdated technology.
red rewiev - looks like stylish thingy, but nothing else.... i'll never gonna buy it....
It is very simple. iPhone is an iPod with limited smartphone features. And why are those limited? Well first it has a lot of disadvantages on hte hardware part, secon of all SMARTPHONES MUST BE SYMBIAN OR MOBILE!! Because only theese two have anought applications.
As for me, whn i listen to music i don't need touchscreen. So i can listen to music as well with Nokia E90 while having a LAPTOP! For the same price as this iPod with support for GSM.
I got my iPhone the first day. I purchased it from the mac store. Its a very cool toy. No phone is perfect. The keyboard is not bad at all. It takes a little getting used to. When your typing a mistake the phone suggest a word. The camera is average quality. The screen is very crisp and really quite nice. The size of the phone is not too large and not to small. The iPod function works well, you can listen to music while surfing the web. Videos work well but for that you would want to use the headset or you must be in a really quiet place. The phone is very smooth and sophisticated feel. The web is better than any other mobile device. The things that I don't like about the iPhone are: the Bluetooth does not support file transfers. There are no games on the phone and the iTunes store doesn't have any games available. The sim card does not come out, atleast not without possibly causing harm to unit. Putting videos on the unit is not easy if you expect to drag and drop any format that plays on your pc. Very cool toy. Bottom line Is if you don't mind spending the $500 / $600 price tags than give it a try. If you buy it at the mac store you can return it unopened for a full refund within 14 days and opened there is a 10% restock fee. If you activate it with AT&T and "are not satisfied with the service" you can return it within 30 days (with the restock fee). Think of the device as an iPod video with a large touch screen, web browser, and phone. Don't think of it as a phone first. I'm sure that there will be more software to come which will give the device more function
I bought the phone at the apple store at 10:30 at night on the 29th. No line, I just walked right in bought it and I was out. I haven't opened it yet & I don't think I'm going to ... I'm gonna return it and go with my original idea of buying the Nokia n95. You get so much more for your money ... No i-tunes or touch screen? BooHoo!
i totally agree with patrick .. iphone comes with a lot of application that some of you even can't understand what is it !!
i would say iPhone is a look from the future .. and its a new break-through in the techenology world
yeah there's some lacks .. but com'on
what about the others features ?????
admit it or not .. its just another GREAT apple product
bless Apple :D
I am certainly a big fan of Nokia. I also only like a nice designed phone such as Nokia 8600 Luna, 8800 Silver, 8800 Sirocco which I now own one.
However, I am a Mac laptop (MacBookPro) user. It is greagt!!! I have been following the development of iPhone since it was first announce. Guys!!! Lots of people here just posted what iPhone does not offer on its phone. iPhone does not have this, iPhone does not have that,...blah blah blah. What do you really know what iPhone can really offer? Maybe what iPhone really offers is too high for lots of people to access and to understand. If you really want to know what iPhone can really do, just go to www.apple.com You will then know what iPhone can offer and what are different from other phones.
- iPhone is good for people who is a user of Mac in term of compatability. It can automatically and directly install the contact list from your Mac address book.
- iPhone combines 3 different devices in one; functionable mobile phone, ipod, and web browser. Those are what Mac has focused and created on iPhone.
- iPhone comes with 8GB. It is one of the good storage devices for music, video clip, even a few movies on it.
Guys! Bluetooth is not only for MP3 listneing, camera on the phone will never be as good as a real camera anyway, as well as a video clip thingy. You can Youtube, Google Map, Stock Marketing, Weather Condition, Internet Access, E-Mail, Making/Revceiving Phone Calls, SMS, Listen to Musics-Video Clips-Music Video-Movies.
Maybe some of the options on iPhone is too high for people 's knowledge who know only mobile phone can make phone calls, listen to music, taking pictures and video clip.
iPhone is great for storing/backing up information. You can also use it has a USB which you can forward to other PCs/Mac/Phones by bluetooth, and certainly has a high compatable capacity with PCs and/or Mac.
By the way, there is no such a perfect device AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE ON EARTH!!! Ask yourself, what is suitable for yourself.
Good luck, Guys!!!
I brough iphone of ebay for $720 but i snapped the aerial off when i unboxed it. Also, the stylus was snapped. :(
There is no doubt the Apple iPhone offers one of the most fun, sexiest, intuitive, and easy to use interfaces ever seen on a mobile device. But, is it really worth getting? Let's get into that a little later. Right now here are the problems I am noticing on the device and I'm wondering if any of you are experiencing these issues too. Mind you all in all I activated 5 iPhones and we compared a lot of them, so the list below applies generally to every handset, not a malfunctioning one unless noted.
When talking on the phone loudly, you can hear your voice "distorting". I secretly kind of wish the iPhone was on the "Can you hear me now" network. Almost.
Yahoo!'s "push" email really does not work well, and definitely is not "push". Can't we get some Exchange love here? Sure it's supposedly coming soon, but can't a guy just sync his darn contacts and all that fun business stuff?
Please for the love of everything holy, can we get a "Reply-To" field so we change the reply address?
The SMS and email alerts are so quiet that I can barely hear them in a quiet room. Really disappointing, with no way to increase that volume.
This happened on one of the iPhones, but not really on my current one, yet I thought I'd mention it anyway…When the device is "sleeping" you sometimes miss calls. This is because the network indicator will show 1 bar, or "No Service", then when you unlock it, the bars jump up.
The first iPhone I got would let me use all the functions of the phone, except it would not let me activate it in iTunes. Precisely the exact opposite of what is supposed to happen. A long call to tech support yielded no results and I ended up returning it. When connected to iTunes, instead of the activation screen, it would let me see the iPhone tab, copy music, sync contacts, etc. All the things you are able to do when the phone is activated.
There are so many issues with the email program. For instance, you can't mark all of them as "Read", you also can't delete more than one at a time. To add insult to injury, there isn't an "Empty Trash" option. Look forward to deleting all those emails you just deleted painstakingly one by one, again.
The activation system is not at all setup for AT&T "legacy" customers. It just tells you that more information is required, and leaves you to die in pain waiting. What we ended up doing is migrating the "Blue" account to an "Orange" account, cancelled the pending activation, and went through again. That time it worked. AT&T reps in stores for the most part know this, and that is why they ask questions, but in all honestly most of the phones are being sold at Apple stores.
My battery life is definitely suspect.
