I am certainly a big fan of Nokia. I also only like a nice designed phone such as Nokia 8600 Luna, 8800 Silver, 8800 Sirocco which I now own one.
However, I am a Mac laptop (MacBookPro) user. It is greagt!!! I have been following the development of iPhone since it was first announce. Guys!!! Lots of people here just posted what iPhone does not offer on its phone. iPhone does not have this, iPhone does not have that,...blah blah blah. What do you really know what iPhone can really offer? Maybe what iPhone really offers is too high for lots of people to access and to understand. If you really want to know what iPhone can really do, just go to www.apple.com You will then know what iPhone can offer and what are different from other phones.
- iPhone is good for people who is a user of Mac in term of compatability. It can automatically and directly install the contact list from your Mac address book.
- iPhone combines 3 different devices in one; functionable mobile phone, ipod, and web browser. Those are what Mac has focused and created on iPhone.
- iPhone comes with 8GB. It is one of the good storage devices for music, video clip, even a few movies on it.
Guys! Bluetooth is not only for MP3 listneing, camera on the phone will never be as good as a real camera anyway, as well as a video clip thingy. You can Youtube, Google Map, Stock Marketing, Weather Condition, Internet Access, E-Mail, Making/Revceiving Phone Calls, SMS, Listen to Musics-Video Clips-Music Video-Movies.
Maybe some of the options on iPhone is too high for people 's knowledge who know only mobile phone can make phone calls, listen to music, taking pictures and video clip.
iPhone is great for storing/backing up information. You can also use it has a USB which you can forward to other PCs/Mac/Phones by bluetooth, and certainly has a high compatable capacity with PCs and/or Mac.
By the way, there is no such a perfect device AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE ON EARTH!!! Ask yourself, what is suitable for yourself.
Good luck, Guys!!!
I brough iphone of ebay for $720 but i snapped the aerial off when i unboxed it. Also, the stylus was snapped. :(
There is no doubt the Apple iPhone offers one of the most fun, sexiest, intuitive, and easy to use interfaces ever seen on a mobile device. But, is it really worth getting? Let's get into that a little later. Right now here are the problems I am noticing on the device and I'm wondering if any of you are experiencing these issues too. Mind you all in all I activated 5 iPhones and we compared a lot of them, so the list below applies generally to every handset, not a malfunctioning one unless noted.
When talking on the phone loudly, you can hear your voice "distorting". I secretly kind of wish the iPhone was on the "Can you hear me now" network. Almost.
Yahoo!'s "push" email really does not work well, and definitely is not "push". Can't we get some Exchange love here? Sure it's supposedly coming soon, but can't a guy just sync his darn contacts and all that fun business stuff?
Please for the love of everything holy, can we get a "Reply-To" field so we change the reply address?
The SMS and email alerts are so quiet that I can barely hear them in a quiet room. Really disappointing, with no way to increase that volume.
This happened on one of the iPhones, but not really on my current one, yet I thought I'd mention it anyway…When the device is "sleeping" you sometimes miss calls. This is because the network indicator will show 1 bar, or "No Service", then when you unlock it, the bars jump up.
The first iPhone I got would let me use all the functions of the phone, except it would not let me activate it in iTunes. Precisely the exact opposite of what is supposed to happen. A long call to tech support yielded no results and I ended up returning it. When connected to iTunes, instead of the activation screen, it would let me see the iPhone tab, copy music, sync contacts, etc. All the things you are able to do when the phone is activated.
There are so many issues with the email program. For instance, you can't mark all of them as "Read", you also can't delete more than one at a time. To add insult to injury, there isn't an "Empty Trash" option. Look forward to deleting all those emails you just deleted painstakingly one by one, again.
The activation system is not at all setup for AT&T "legacy" customers. It just tells you that more information is required, and leaves you to die in pain waiting. What we ended up doing is migrating the "Blue" account to an "Orange" account, cancelled the pending activation, and went through again. That time it worked. AT&T reps in stores for the most part know this, and that is why they ask questions, but in all honestly most of the phones are being sold at Apple stores.
My battery life is definitely suspect.
I'm optimistic about this product yet lot of things have to be included. Most among them FM radio is utmost important. I thing Apple should consider to cover up the shortages at it’s next versions.
This is antoher product from states that base only on marketing, it doesn't have any extra of revolutionary options it is just a piece of ordinary cell phone with a fancy name.
I compare it to some of the smart phones that are on the top of the chart on my opinion (N95, E61, N93i, E90, P990, Sony UX50...) and it does reach eaven to their batery. And it is not worth of the money that cost, rather buy a dog.
why do u guyz give such poor votes to this product? some of u realy stink...what do you want more from a phone...to make you an omlet? geez...maybe u should try making one
The release of Apple iPhone will take place tomorrow, June 29, but meanwhile some Internet sources report on the features the phone is missing. For example, you can come across eleven things not implemented in the iPhone. But Apple is likely to make periodic updates meaning most of these items could be fixed.
11 functions missing in the iPhone:
* Cut/Copy/Paste option
* Stereo Bluetooth (A2DP)
* MP3 ringtones
* Adobe Flash not supported in Safari browser
* Video capture
* No removable battery
* No edit of Word and Excel files – you can only view them
* Direct i tunes access
* Instant messaging
It’s not yet clear whether the mentioned things are really missing or just alleged: some of the points look at least very strange. Well, let’s wait for further details
isn't the iPhone probably one of the most anticipated phones and even gadgets there are right now?
how come this site has no update after its out? in any way the iPhone is a proper cell phone, so why the not understandable lag?
yes they were sold out are u kidding me ?
did you know the freaking prize on ebay on the 1st day?
if you dont know something then dont talk because they were sold out everywhere
come on, guys! how can GsmArena post a review??? It is NOT an American site (thank god, allah, shiva and other 'entities'!:)
I'm sure that, once the (yukkk) iPhone starts selling in Europe (or even before), they will do a deep review.
Hi there, i live in Mauritius, in the Indian ocean.
just wanted to know if the phone supports a sim card and if it is compatible to be used in mauritius.
I contacted my phone operator, they dididnt give me the right answers.is it locked by AT&T? please mail me back at firstname.lastname@example.org.
terrible battery; not what they promised. very difficult to sync with exchange server.
finally i got my iphone yesterday through cingular retailer. i had to wait for almost 35 minutes to get it there as it w.w.went out of stock when i reached .. cingular's staffer john made me comfortable as he said the logistics team had sent a truck load to the store to replenish the iphone stock..
after the wait i got a perfectly packed iphone box straight from the carton that had alomost 36 iphone in it ...
i was told to activate the phone using itunes software on my windows vista laptop..
.. i thot i would just have to plug the phone with my pc to get it working and it would take a min or two as john had explained me .
to my surprise it dint work that way . while activating it took like 50 min to flash the message that iphone is now ready to rock ..
though for the music lovers this device is wonderful and even wonderful as picture viewer and storage ..
now let me explain u the iphone as a phone...
as phone apple will have to REWORK-REDISCOVER-REINVENT..
most important: our hands dont get that going on touch screen .. often fingers slip while locating keys .. fingers imprints look awfull on the screen .. really scratch prone .. already got couple of scratches on its back while keeping it on surface..
voice quality is bearable .. ON A SCALE OF 10 iPHONE CAN COMFORTABLY SCORE 6 POINTS ..TIL NOKIA BRINGS OUT THE KILLER N98 AS HEARD WITH 7.2 MPX CAMER 3G AND 32GB INTERNAL MEMORY
n95 sold almost a million in it first week so?
apple should fix alot of thing
bluetooth is useless only work for headset
not mp3 ringtoones, no custom ringtones at all.
no video recording.
camera have no setting at all.
horrible call quality and reception (ITS A PHONE!!!)
rubbish touchscreen is poor and as screen gets marked function will get poorer
The Phone works without a sim card in it, but the phone has to be activated under AT&T. Great phone, a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth it.
