Go read the first REVIEW before buying the iPhone, there's so many problems...!
and i would never think twice about getting an iphone, im satisfied with my n95, and im only 14!
again, really sorry. do accept.
yeah, i agree with you about the razr thing.
and i said sorry about what i said.
Nokia N95 is way way better than this phone.. iphone is gonna end up like the Razr..mass produced and common!
that's not true, tell me, how many hackers are there attacking windows/dos-based systems compared to open systems like Mac OS X? How many viruses are a threat to Windows as compared to Mac OS X? which has higher security, unix based on dos based?
Bad Bob.. who cares about edge?? I live in mountain view CA... we have FREE Wi-Fi anywhere in my city!!! Google provides free wifi for everybody in my city.. So my data load times will be BLAAAAAZZZZZZZINNNNGGG fast!! hahahhahahaha iphone RULES!!!!! Bad Boy is a HATER!!
The iphone is not overpriced. $499 is a good deal with ALLLLL the features in this phone. Unlimited data plan is only an extra $20 a month on top of the voice plan I currently have! Good deal!!!!
Go to Apple website and read the release time for EU and Asia...AT&T website never mention about block the contract with iphone.
More CONS (Why would any1 wna buy this fone?)
The iPhone's virtual keyboard has been considered its chief weakness and a risk for Apple. The New York Times' David Pogue and Wall Street Journal's Walt Mossberg, who both tested the iPhone for two weeks, found learning to use it initially difficult, although eventually usable, with Pogue stating use was "frustrating" and "text entry is not the iPhone’s strong suit" and Mossberg considering the keyboard a "nonissue". Both found the typo-correcting feature of the iPhone was critical in using the virtual keyboard successfully.
When the user is not in a Wi-Fi hot spot, the iPhone's network connection will use AT&T's older EDGE network. The data rate for this network is 40kbps, similar to a landline dial-up connection. David Pogue of the New York Times found that the EDGE network was "excruciatingly slow," with the iPhone taking as long as 100 seconds to download the Yahoo! home page for the first time. The EDGE network is being boosted from 40kbps to 80kbps to coincide with project launch.
The rechargeable battery is non-removable, and once depleted, will need to be replaced by the manufacturer for a fee.
iPhone lacks any type of firewall, which some experts claim is posing a data security risk. However without unsafe applications to firewall this might be a moot point, if the built in applications do not open unsafe communication ports.
iPhone is only available for those who subscribe to a two-year AT&T service plan.
iPhone offers no capacity to sync with corporate internal email systems.
iPhone cannot install full programs from anyone but Apple.
The Safari browser in iPhone supports neither Adobe Flash nor Java.
iPhone lacks a number of common handheld features below:
memory card slot
A2DP (stereo bluetooth)
text copy and paste
video recording with the built-in camera
support for MP3 files as ringtones
The iPhone’s virtual keypad won’t work when wearing gloves, which is a concern for wintertime phone calls in cold areas.
This is a 2G phone people! What is the point in making something new based on old technology? I'll just wait until they upgrade it...
yeah, the contract doesnt last forever, but its a "multi-year contract", and thats straight from at&t's webpage, so europe and asia WONT get the iphone years...
i believe apple will take over the phone industry by storm just like they did with music and i pods. you just wait and see.
tallinex there are some news that nintendo are developin games for iphone
the CONS of the iPhone (before you buy reconsider, i was planing on getting one but i noticed these problems)
Must use iTunes (iPhone + iTunes = iProfit, its simple)
i dont think you can download themes nor games
NO java (maybe NO flash)
No card slot
only 1 main button the screen will get dirty and scratched
typing messages will be slower because it uses a virtual keyboard
expensive phone + 2year contract needed (also cheaper to buy 80Gb mp3 player or ipod and a phone than this)
big (might be unconfortable with it in your pocket)
although a phone should not be used instead of a camera, there are cheaper phones on the market with better cams (and are touchscreen as well)
how usefull is accelerometer? are u goin 2 rotate ur phone all day long
the battery of any phone with a big screen is poor
Apple has practically no experience in the phone industry whereas other barnds have several years
DOES NOT sync using bluetooth, must use USB
so why buy this overpriced phone when there are better phones for cheaper?
the main disadvantage i reckon is "cant use mp3 as ringtones"?!! this is seriously ridiculous... such as a disappointment.. :(
Don't be panic guys and girls. Iphone will be released in EU the end of this year and in Asia 2008. AT&T signed a contract with Apple to have the first release in US maket but can't hold the contract forever. My opinion, why not wait for the unlocked iphone when it releases in EU or Asia. There are 2 reasons to wait: 1. the price will drop down badly because of US maket. Have you ever seen any phone released in US and holded the price for long. The answer NO. 2. there will be some bugs about software issue on this iphone. Go to mobileburn.com and read some reviews: the iphone can't video clip, can't text message, no changable battery, have to send the whole phone to apply for battery replacement and cost alot of money. can't use MP3 song for ringtone...and a lot more of disadvantage. Anyway, let wait and see after this friday...
Does anyone know if it's better to purchase the iphone from a apple store or at a att store? Isn't cingular/att nottorious for having dumb salepersons?
Everyone should read this and ask less stupid questions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPhone
