This is the phone we are all waiting for. Without any doubth this will be the great and very pleasure to use. I just can't wait to have it in my hand yet.
Also Apple doesn't have any room for improvements like the ipod, i mean the ipod is on its what like 7th generation now? in like 4 years?? so with it being the most expensive phone and having to sign a contract and not being universal like an ipod, apple can't expect to roll out with an iphone 2nd gen 6 months after this release expecting anywhere close to the same amount of sales, people can't just trade and sell these off like ipods, so again i really don't think this is going to be anywhere near successful as everyones predicting
Nicksti followed up on all the points i left out, first off ziyin, its not the most advanced phone on the earth, not even close, it may have flashy new sensors and bells, but as far as features go, nothing about it is that revolutionary, everything it has, has been done before, and again with the sms, it will not be as fast as typing with keys, it will definately slow teens/young adults down which will just not go over well, plus there is the whole issue of it being apple's first phone ever, companies like nokia and motorola can roll out with phones very often because they've had years of extensive testing, since apple probably did a lot of consumer based surveys and testing, i can place a pretty big bet on something being wrong on release that they didn't foresee and having to possibly recall, which if that happens will completely kill the iphone's future, if they get it right who knows, but I really doubt this is going to be anything close to what they say it will be, and yet again Microsoft is following suit with their own phone, which they will be able to see where iphone goes wrong and build off of it to make theres even better, so if anything look to Microsoft to come out with everything wrong ion the iphone fixed, plus i hear its going to have interchangeable parts, like you can upgrade the camera and buy add-ons for hardware and such, crazy....
I cannot help but agree with Peter. It is the phone that everyone wants but I doubt it is the phone that everyone can use or afford. My main concerns are:
1. Battery Life - Sensors, big screen, WLAN and an OS that is new to mobile phones.
2. Price - 16 year old with a $500 phone + a plan? The phone is not really priced for everyone because with the feature set it really is not for everyone.
3. Smartphones are not for the average consumer.
seriously i think u guys r wrong tho .... iphone is made to be touch screen why does it need a keypad ????? the purpose mac design the phone without a stylus is because they wan u to use it as if its just a normal phone .. thats their motif ... and this is world first smart phone without a stylus and also the most advance phone on earth ... they have the program that u wan ... such as google maps ??? ... and also they have very advance function such as multi-touch input method , accelerometer sensor for auto rotate ... and i bet their system are very stable ... well u guys say for those age between 16 to 24 the are more to sms .. yup that i agree with u i am also a hardcore sms person ...if they use this phone i cant find any reason y this phone is not suitable for them ??? its still a phone without keypad .. BUT u r still using it as if there is a keypad there so i dont find anything bad abt this phone for the state this phone is one of the most expensive phone .. but for the asians this is one of the most affordable smart phone HAHHAHHA ... which is 3k its much cheaper than the other pda phones .. well i think thats all i can comment =P if there is anything wrong just email me ait ...
It's not a good phone may be desibn and syle are best but non avaliality of a key pad is the bigest disadvantage.
Honestly I think this is going to fail, not only is it one of the most expensive phones to ever be released in the states, its primary market is young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 all of which text message almost every minute of every day which no touch screen I have ever seen would be able to keep up with speeds like that, and having a touch screen with absolutely no pen is retarded, the oils will eventually get to it, it will always be smudged, and honestly apple has never done phone software or anything before, my prediction is a million people will buy it and then a million people will regret it
waitin for u baby. dying to take it in my hands this awesome gadget of apple.
thanx apple engineers..........................................
I think iPhone is over rated, bcuz since nowadays we all changing to 3G yet iPhone not supporting it.
Good in design and OS.
Bad in supporting system, no 3G, no video?
Hatim has hit the nail on the head. The os is by far the most important factor.OSX v windows mobile or the small and simple symbian.I'll take osx every time.
While most comments here are about it's cam or the size or the browser or the price i think the most promising thing we should really care about is the operating system.Mac always deliver a far better stable operating system for PC than Microsoft. If it did it again with mobiles it may be the best step in the smart phones area and the final solution to all the stubid and slow performance by Symbian.A Smart phone that's really Smart !!That's what i hope to find in IPhone.Better Cam,The 3G version.....etc will come sooner or later and after all not all users are intersted in that.If there's anything we should ask more than a Stable operating system then it will be surely the price !!
god this is the fone iv bin waitin for just hope it duznt cost a fortune
Just something to add. This phone has never been delayed, its release date has always been June or around there, with end of year estimates for Europe. The only thing delayed has been Apple macs operating system by a few months, as resources are being prioritised on getting the iPhone out on time.
I will definitely want a 3g version, so as soon as thats out i will buy. It is crucial that apple give this to a UK provider that can give good internet packages for 3G, as this is a 3rd of its proposed uses (alongside the phone and ipod functionality). Although it can hook up on a home wifi network and country hotspots, 3g speeds will allow better mobile internet access. Hope vodaphone either raise their game to supply this or it goes sumwhere else.
http://uploaded.to/?id=j0fh2g the presentation movie of iPhone (1:20 hour at 120mb,good quality)
boo, no fm radio, no flash, no infra red. No one uses infra red anymore, its out-dated thats why bluetooth is around. FM radio meh, its an ipod your own choice of music. Flash in camera well no compony is really making leaps in bounds in that area but night mode will do its job for now. I think its pretty awesome, ill buy one after the first batch are out.
£250 is alot to pay, and will most probably be that price in the uk on an 18 month contract!
I'm on Vodafone and they are ok, the biggest problem with Vodafone was when the Carphone Warehouse were selling their phones, when I got my contract from there they completely miss-sold my contract to me, when I went to complain to Vodafone they were just like "not our problem any more talk to the carphone warehouse" that was annoying.
If it's on vodafone I doubt that many people will ever use 3G even if the phone supports it, currently Vodafone don't offer any 3G packages like free minutes and the price for 3G data minutes are an astonishing £2.50 per MB!
