yo Racerpaki, Keynote just schooled you man, maybe you should do more research before you start making opinions about the iphone. Remember Racerpaki, GSM's disclaimer on the bottom states that,
"We can not guarantee that the information on this page is 100% correct."
To Racerpaki, You wont have to worry about pressing touchscreen keys accidentally with iPhone when on calls: it has advanced sensors, one of which is a proximity sensor which disables the backlight and touchscreen when held to the ear. For more info on the advanced sensors, check out http://www.apple.com/iphone/technology/sensors.html
enjoy!
i phone is superb !!!! i see keynote and they mentioned you can download your email or pause your music and video in background !!! as per my thought its muct be fist dual core cpu inside

i wonder how annoying this thing would be when you actually use it as a phone. I mean what happens when you put it up to the side of your face and suddenly your ears starts pressing all the buttons that you don't want pressed? thtz messed up!!!!!!!!! i really like this phone but im really concerned about the touchscreen and the camera i have nokia 6270 right now i wass looking forward to this phone but ohh well i guess sumthing better will come out to compete with iphone and please for god sake don't compare iphone with lg prada!!!!!!!!!! i seriously don't recomend people buying this phone! waste of money!!!!!!
No card slot?????
No infrared????
2MP camera only????
No 3G?????
what kind of crap is that??? My p910 is way better(being 3 years old).
Pssst. Allready signed for news letter to recieve iphone.
:)
it is a very cool phone.
1) bulky.
2) pricey.
3) not available in CDMA or for T-Mobile.
4) no 3G - you'd think that a big player like Apple would try and take advantage of every big technology around.
but for some reason - it's still arguably the sweetest phone out there. :-P
can i use the iphone in south america?
to the website advertising iphone for $550 - sure, the price will get to that, eventally, anyone can now take pre-orders of this phones and will deliver sometimes in 2009.
This phone could have easily been the best phone ever produced had Apple incorporated a camera like that of Nokia N93/N93i/N95. Anyway, internet browsing with this phone is definitely going to be a pleasure and I am looking forward to iPhone's arrival in the market.
Pebo... you dont have to unlock the phone for usage outside USA because Europe is going to have their own UNLOCKED iPhones straight from Apple while USA iPhones are locked for Verizon for two years.
USA iPhone = Comes in June 2007 - Locked for two years.
Europe iPhone = Comes in August 2007 - UNLOCKED.
Asian iPhone = Comes in 2008.
Hey all you guys with questions - watch the keynote or the presentation itself from www.apple.com/iphone ...it will answear alot of your questions about the model.
is thr anyone else can tell me tat the benefits of this cell phone??
I aggre with you mac fan
oh no! not o2! I dreaded that! :( cmon Vodafone! get your finger out!
Steve Jobs hasn't ruled out 3G. The first one doesn't have 3G because the US doesn't have it wide spread and EDGE is the fastest GSM technology with the biggest coverage over there. But I wouldn't be suprised one bit if by the time Europe and Australia get theirs, Apple will have a 3G model. Hence the 3-6month delay from when the US get's it.
HHe even said in his keynote that they where wworking or looking at working on a 3G model. Be patient.
Apple is currently negotiating with telefonica (o2) to be it's distributor for europe...
for anyone thats wondering if you can use it outside the USA the answer is yes BUT you have to UNLOCK it or else you cant use it outside of the USA
Well, I would guess it would work as it's GSM,however, it's only available on the USA's Cingular network; they are Apple's exclusive partner in the US.I imagine that it could be unlatched for any network (it's quad band), but it would lack network features only provided by Cingular (they will be supporting the Visual Voicemail). I really hope that Apple partner with Vodafone in the UK!!! Fingers crossed!!!
