This phone is really bad it's the worst for battery life that I ever used I'm getting only 3 hours screen on time using camera to take no more than 15 pics and video recording for no more than 10 mins and general use browsing web YouTube I don't game. My battery is 86% but my phone was made in may 2021 the year I bought it. The keyboard is too small what I hate about the phone the most is once the phone goes to 50% battery the battery drains really fast to 20% in around 50 mins.Once it's at 20% it only has 20 mins left it literally goes down 1% a minute so you can't use the phone normally it gives me battery dead anxiety so if I'm out I don't use it in case I get a call I really need to get rid of this mini midget dumb phone.

All used ones have battery health of around 85% so I would have ... moreReplacing the battery is straightforward enough if you live close to an Apple store, and you would probably need to replace it if the battery health is 85%, unless your wife is a very light user. While the 13 mini does indeed have marginally better battery life and cameras, the difference doesn't justify the large increase in price compared to the 12 mini imo. Also, and this is highly subjective, I prefer the design of the 12 mini (the diagonal arrangement of the lenses on the 13 mini makes it look like a toy, and the slight increase in weight/thickness compared to the 12 mini is noticeable when you handle both phones and makes the latter more enjoyable to use for me.)

has bigger battery, you can buy one with 100% battery, longer software support and stronger

Want to buy this for my wife. All used ones have battery health of around 85% so I would have to replace the battery immediately right? Is it simple? Will non genuine batteries show health percentage or not? Should I skip this model entirely?

My old flagship phone by LG (now they didn’t even make smartphones anymore) that has 3k mAh battery on standby (literally just leaving it on my desk, not doing anything with it) from 9am to 9pm would already shut itself down due to empty battery.
Meanwhile IP12 Mini that I use as a daily driver with close to 4 hours SoT (light use) would most likely hit 0% at 9am the next day.
I bought both of those in used condition since I’m a cheapskate but this iPhone successfully amazed me. Maybe my next daily driver if Apple completely stopped supporting this one will also be an iPhone.

Apple 12 mini & 13 mini are going to be miss. I hope mine lasts two decades.

Im not big screen fanatic so that’s why i choice this iphone. Very handy and very easy to put on my pocket. Easy to hold even one hand while Im typing a messages. The battery last for almost a day except with gaming
