Midrange devices are getting better, and some does have almost flagship alike spec and performance (real time usage too).
To be specific, speaking about some of Huawei phones

If you're speaking... moreNope not benchmark but real life performance. i'm still using an iPhone 6s plus with new battery installed and performance is still great. i'm comparing it to my samsung galaxy s8 and the s8 didn't age well. Yes for benchmark scores iphone's usually have lower scores but in real life performance, iOS handles apps better than android. As for the "worth" of the flagship vs. mid range phone, Yes I do agree that midrange androids can offer more than flagships, but without ;good hardware and long term software support, the mid range phones will not age well

- huge bezels
- no fingerprint sensor

- Samsung recently released Galaxy S21 series with no MicroSD card slot? Same goes to Pixel Phones?
- No headphone jack? Most android brands do not have headphone jack anymore.
- Not even a charger in the box? Did you know that samsung also followed the trend?
If you think this is expensive? Have you seen the price of the foldable phones? Or how about the Sony Xperia Pro which is priced at $2,500?

If you're speaking about benchmark, some of midrange can outperform an iphone especially when the app is optimized.
You should know the importance of optimization as you supposedly use an iphone, correct?
And of course, most midrange devices have better value than flagships (for typical phone users).
