The display is terrible for the price — the image quality is really bad. The camera isn’t even as good as a cheap phone’s; it’s extremely blurry. The battery life is honestly awful, and it gets as hot as a bomb when charging (I even have to remove the thin case every time I charge it). Features keep getting restricted with each update, and the closed nature of the operating system is genuinely frustrating.
Even though people praise its durability, it’s actually quite fragile — the glass back breaks easily and the frame’s paint scratches very easily. It’s clearly focused on optimizing iOS effects rather than the actual apps, which makes me laugh every time the words ‘game mode’ pop up. Whenever a special in-game effect appears (like an explosion or fireworks), the iPhone only realizes what’s important when it’s already too late — it freezes for 1–2 seconds.
I bought it for $600, and at that price, you should definitely consider other phones instead.

Really love this phone. Battery at 81% health after 2 years of owning and iPhone 14 is pretty fast and good for normal use and good for games. The camera is okay but could be improved especially the zoom length and the camera focus. iOS is running smoothly, no crashes. I like buying phones from Apple because mainly security and privacy and I really like Face ID it’s really secure and uses lidar which is neat and 3D face mapping and does that in just 1 second and phone unlocks.
To be honest after 2 years of owning still pretty good just wish the battery could be better? Camera is overall good and performance is great.

That said, this is NOT a good phone, 13 is way better value.

Gsmarena in the past you have wrote iphones have TOF 3D for biometric now you change it in SL 3D.. I have notice that for all iphones that have Face ID like 12 13 14 etc...why did you change iphone biometric from TOF 3D to SL 3D ??

iphone 16 pro got the perfect smartphone form factor. it do have the same body size as iphone 14 while equipped with larger display due to thinner bezel. Pro max is simply too heavy and big for most people, in pockets especially. Still don't get why majority still prefer the pro max

For me this is the word iPhone ever, even if the iPhone 5c is like nearly not better than the iPhone 5c in terms of upgrades at least it’s sometimes cheaper than the iPhone 5 but this is just a deepfake. it ads 2 gigs of ram which does nothing sinse iPhones were already fast plus you’re basically getting the iPhone 13 Pro with the features of the 13 and some features that no one’s gonna use like: action mode, crash detection and satellite sos, which no one cares since who will even get lost in the desert or get into a car accident with their iPhOnE 14 or record a video while it’s shaking, if I wanted to do that I would straight up just use optical image stabilization, this is a beyond pathetic upgrade if it’s even an upgrade at all since it’s NOT at least the pro models added USEFULL things and the iPhone SE 3 at least upgraded the chipset but all of that is not the worst part because they sacrificed the iPhone minis for the plus models even though these plus models were not selling well just like the minis plus there’s more demand for mini phones in 2025 and the fact that it’s over a hundred dollars more than the iPhone 13 which does the same things. if you wanna buy the iPhone 14 just buy the iPhone 13 or 13 mini instead since it’s mini and mini is the best because small and I won’t explain myself any further, upgrading from the 13 to the 14 is like upgrading from an iPad 2 to the iPad 3 or the new ipad

I have been using this smartphone for 2 years and I am very happy with it. iOS is very well optimized and the hardware handles all the tasks I need without any problems. It is also a reliable and well-built smartphone. It is no coincidence that the iPhone 14 was the best-selling smartphone model in the world in 2023.
