how iphones works in india how is the performance can any one of you guys answer my query
very good fone, heaps of applications, battery lasts for 1.5 days or more easily unless u use it for wifi and 3g.use normal network instead of 3g and switch on wifi only when u need it.my battery lasts 1.5 to 2 days and i listen to my favo songs all the time when im travelling around sydney.
apple store rocks,so many free applications
Have been using the Iphone 3G for about 5 months. My experience has been generally pleasant. The GPS/Map/multi-touch/browser features are the product differentiators if we overlook the millions of great apps up for download. I take the above features for granted now, and god knows what I'll do if I have to use another phone :) In terms of 3G/Data/Web surfing performance, I've compared it to Nokia N97, Google G1, Blackberry Touch and HTC touch. I must say, those phones might have all the features needed, but they are not even close to iphone killers.
My iphone 3G has crashed on my numerous times though and dropped calls a couple of times. The base band chip does indeed need a speed upgrade (3GS) as it occasionally have slow motion hiccups while UI is being operated.
Great phone, has not let mo down once. I think the battery could be a little bit better though and they could offer a much easier battery replacement scheme than having to send it back to apple. The greatest thing about the iphone is the music and the apps and while there is no such multitasking with applications that is actually some what of an advantage because you a) don't have background apps wasting system resources such as memory(ram) or the processor and ofcourse preciouse battery life and it doesn't freeze all the time like other phones i've owned before, especially windows mobile devices.
Iphone 3GS available at Swisscom at only 99 CHF $ 93 :
No mention whatsoever about N97
Such a good phone but no telco is selling it !

Can anyone please tel me wat wil b da price of iphone 3G in uk after the release of iphone 3Gs.pls i need an answer asap.
This mobile is great, only turn down is the poor battery life, it hangs for a day for me, i use it a lot, wifi, browsing, gaming, ipod and sms, sure thing is that 17th June will be available the iPhone 3.0 OS that Apple claims to boost the battery life a bit, let's hope so, meanwhile i use Vodafone (Portugal) internet package that includes 250 MB for internet surfing for 9.90eur/per month, very handy.
If you have money for an iphone, you can buy a decent camera 2. Why the hell do u want an 8 MP camera without a optical zoom eating up your phones memory??
betty, 11 Jun 2009This phone is a piece of crapIt´s the best phone I´ve ever bought! Once getting used to touch screen, it´s brilliant! I love the wide language support and how much you can customise the iPhone to fit YOUR needs. For me it´s the right phone.
Calancea Robert, 12 Jun 2009To me the iPhone has the latest features but it is too feminine and if you want to use it on f... morenot really the only thing that jail break has over the normal os is that it can video record and play flash but the video problem is fixed with the OS 3.0 so its just flash but apple will break that soon

At the end of the day
actually the N97 has got only slightly better camera with traditional autofocus, while Apple has intelligent touch autofocus with e a great software.
Cameras you buy and solder on the PCB, software you develop over years with good engineers.
Little more resolution but only 24 bit color compared to the 32 bit of the Iphone, it takes CPU power to handle 32bit.
ALL other specs are quite a disappointment on the N97 compared to the 3GS.
especially considering that Symbian appears to be a dead end OS !
First - I love this phone! I get bored with cell phones very quickly and tend to buy 1 or 2 a month - I've been thru all the Nokia's worth a damn and the Samsungs, Motorola's and before that when they were any good, the Panasonics....but I've used the iPhone for a year now and still haven't found anything to compare for functionality.
Sure, it isn't perfect. It annoys me that I can't send MMS, and that the camera is primitive (but very good for a 2MP), but everything else is terrific with all the Apps you can get. When I go out now I don't need a huge bag to carry phone laptop iPod and PDA, just my iPhone. It holds my eBook library, my iPod, my phone and I can do everything on the net that I used to need my laptop for and do it comfortably...and I can catch up on TV shows I missed and movies if I'm stuck with time on my hands.
I recommend this phone to everyone who wants to cut down on the weight of technology they carry around, and can adjust to sending emails to everyone instead of MMS.....and that isn't difficult, really.
