If you hold the home button and power button at the top for about 15 seconds it does a sort reset which will turnthe phone/itouch off and then back on again normally solves the app freezing/crashing issue aswell. You have to remember that these devices are very software based now, so they need to be turned off update quite often or you will start to have these issues.

On the extremely rare occassions that an iPhone freezes (usually after installing a large App without restarting it), you can reset the iPhone by holding down the On/Off and Home keys at the same time until the Apple appears, this has the same effect as removing the battery from other types of phone.
I like SonyEricssons but I don't like how every now and then the messaging stops responding and you can't access your messages, the only way to fix it is by sending it to a repair centre for a software reload.

They are ripping us off! They want only $199 from new customers, but existing customers must pay $499... Even with a 2 year extension. It's right on their website: "For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)."
We have to rise up and stop this. Apple has listened before. We have to make them listen again.
Express your view at http://www.iPhone3GS.org see yaa
not only $199, but actually you can bought it at just $99! I believe the $199 iPhone is the 16Gb and the $99 is the 8Gb. my mom bought a iPhone 3G 16Gb for only $199, locked to AT&T
Have a look at AT&T financials and see the numbers they are crunching with the Iphone, its called market success, people go for it because it is a fantastic service Nokia specs are good for the pits.
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2009Dude, it costs more than six time more than what you said!I have an unlocked Iphone and when I come to the States I pay A LOT in air and data charges both with an AT&T and TMOBILE numbers.
If you live steadily in a country still the best bet is to buy a minutes/data plan along with a GOOD phone like the Iphone.
The Iphone 3GS has a fantastic pricing and excellent performance package, at this price of $ 199 they will sell a lot, not unlike the nokia crap smartphones that cost an arm and a leg and the networks do not want to support.
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2009Dude, it costs more than six time more than what you said! Are you going to buy a phone and keep it unused in a drawer ?
