Anonymous, 03 May 2009Let me know when Nokia will SELL one billion apps for their phones in NINE monthsthe apps store is a SCHEME.

how many mp3s did itunes store sell? sorry, i'd rather download my music when it is plentiful on the web.

would it surprise you to see how many people paid 99 cents per song? how many songs do you think itunes have sold since the store started? trillions? do you pay for every song you put into your ipod?

like i've said before, symbian applications aren't in a store so it's not tracked. you can get them anywhere just like mp3s. if it was tracked, hundreds of billions would have been downloaded just by the number of symbian users there are globally.

Nokia offer a lot of phones to the cell companies. This is where a good amount of their sales are. Apple offer 1. The iphone. Do you think everyone one in the world can afford an iphone. Apple is not targeting the entire market.

Yes nokia are #1 because they make phones for everyone, rich, middle class and poor.

My co worker just switched from a basic samsung to a nokia because the reception was better. He is with fido. It's still a good nokia even though it's not high end.

I don't use them that's why my N82 is a spare phone sitting in a drawer and I use my iPhone.

If I needed or ever used those things it would be the other way around.

I am not a kid but a multimillionaire investor, have a look at the security and exchange commission filings on the companies we have been discussing and providing you know how to read those documents over useless specs of hardware
you will understand where the market is going, success is Apple recent numbers
( April 22 ) show that they are CLEARLY a winner in terms of profits quality increasing customers loyalty and WORLDWIDE sales increase.
Nokia has a BIG problem in the smartphones market where you try to say they have good products, sorry NOT SO .
Keep up with your fantasies if you love your brand I love the CASH I make investing in Good companies like Apple.

                                  i stated my facts.

all you can talk about is application downloads. apple has a store to track its downloads. symbian downloads aren't in a store and tracked. people download them anywhere, and the fact is there are hundreds of millions of Symbian users. If symbian downloads were all tracked in the web, they would far exceed hundreds of billions. however, symbian doesn't make money off a store of applications like apple.

if symbian is dead, then how come the FLAGSHIPS of Sony Erricsson, Nokia, Samsung (IDOU, N97, Omnia HD) are all Symbian OS? do you even know your facts? The best out there is run by Symbian yet you clearly don't know anything about the mobile world.

you can't even put out some straight facts of the iphone VS N82 because you know the N82 is superior in every single way possible besides having a large ipod touch screen which everyone already has

Symbian is dead Apple did one billion Apps in ten months because they know how to offer quality to high level users in the right package like the app store.
They reshaped the music industry becoming the number one music retailer and they are doing the same with the smartphone market

                                    and crappy smartphones
it is not only a matter of megapixels gigabites but SOFTWARE and user experience, Nokia is so far behind, they may know how to make little cheap phones but they DO NOT have the software to make this smartphones user friendly and useful.
Software takes decades to develop and Apple for sure is a leader in that.

macdonalds is having record profits this year, and is generating the most coffee sales this year than its franchise history, while thousands of starbucks are forced to close down; people turn to what's more affordable. an ipod and a phone for a couple hundred bucks on a 3 year contract is what people turn to.

the toyota corolla is the best selling car of all time. before that, the volkswagon bettle was. by default, this means they are the best cars on the road, am i correct?
