Anonymous, 06 Apr 2009The E71 is a horrible phone that is hard to use because of the tiny screen, web browsing on it... moreI think horrible's a bit harsh by the way, as it's actually a pretty sleek phone, arguably better looking than the rival blackberry's. screen is tiny, to make the phone compact and not sacrifice the qwerty keyboard (which is just so much easier than the touch screen keyboard). I do understand the obvious disadvantages of the smaller screen though.
It came with a top of the range charger for the handset, a case i probably will rarely use now, the wrist strap, ditto, the headphones are standard but the 2GB memory card is handy to get started until i decide to get an 8GB one. What else does the Iphone come with?
No problems with the software to note really, (GPS and Battery life when using software particularly impressive). I suppose the video camera is the only real issue with the weird purple and green glow that appears, but this beats the iPhone's non-existent video.
the only reason i'm particularly interested coming here, is that i wonder what i would have done if i didn't have a great deal with T Mobile and had to spend £40-£50 a month to get what i want. I suppose iPhone was a frontrunner if i'd been spending that. It strikes me as being similar to a mac, the lack of simple stuff would annoy me, but it looks nice and is simple to use on the whole and all that... Anyone who looks at spec when getting a phone would probably avoid it tho.

Anonymous, 06 Apr 2009The E71 is a horrible phone that is hard to use because of the tiny screen, web browsing on it... moreon a friends and family deal with t mobile from a friend who used to work there many moons ago and managed to negociate an E71 after saying i wanted a smartphone, liked that, and didn't wanna be fobbed off with the G1, should've paid like £150 extra for it, but the store manager let me off. So i'm on Flext 35 with £2.50 (half price) internet (unlimited) added on.
Just seems daft for me to go out there and spend like an extra £30 pound a month for a year and a half on an IPhone, when the E71 more than matches it in plenty of areas, and if i was really wanting to, i could get a Touch for less than £10 a month for 18 months on top

It comes in a purse with a dainty wrist strap.
The software is to slow because just like most Nokias these days it is underpowered.
Who gives you an unlimited plan for £20?
Why isn't everyone on that plan?
The closest we have here is $A114 with 2GB of data and unlimited calls etc.

so would you rather pay for an 18 month contract at £20 a month with unlimited texts, calls and internet with a free Nokia E71 or get an IPhone.
Also, what does an Iphone do that an Ipod touch doesn't as the touch is available for around £140 8GB model? I don't mean the calls, texts or 3G internet on the move.
What does the extra £200 and having to pay loads for calls and texts and internet actually do?

I have never used iphone nor toyed with it although I would like to because I believe it must be a good phone for so many people to be buying it. Also, people that come to this forum to badmouth it and compare it to other phones like htc touch hd, do this because iphone is like a standard for touchscreen phones. On all touchscreen phones' forum, they always compare the phone to iphone, either in a bad light or good one.
I guess apple really did a good job with iphone. And people clamouring for 5mpixel for iphone, I do not think apple will release 5mp in the near future, rather 3mp since people are still hotly buying the 2mp available now. WELLDONE APPLE.

phoneman, 05 Apr 2009the iphone is cheaper then the high end nokia phones, last time i check. look people, leave ap... morehaha!we dont use our phones as our professional camera...i wont blame you if you are using your phone as your professional camera or video recorder because you cannot afford all the professional gadgets!
how pitiful you are... with nothing to say about but cameras and videos, iphone has many reason being better than any phone,, cams and vids haha! not a big deal at all!if you cannot afford iphone, well... too bad for you poorman. haha.

shame on other companies. i don't like the company but apple's products are nice. competitions is way behind. iphone has only 2mp camera and its selling for $700. samsung and others can't even sell their 8mp phones for that much. users interface people users interface, its a no brainer.

setan1, 06 Apr 2009how to connect with pcYou can connect your iphone to pc by USB cable that you use as power supply cable. You can syncronize songs, VDO, pictures through itunes software but do not try to update OS software. Your phone will be stuck. It will not recognise any sim card.

Hi. Need help ! Have upgraded to 3.0 os beta 1. Then downgraded to 2.2.1 with help of some info on web. Now the phone is active but have lost the yellowsnow ( 3g unlock software) as the baseband has upgraded. Can anyone confirm if I can use a turbo sim for 3.0 os baseband to unlock the phone ? Is it out in the market ? Pls help if u can. Thanks in advance.
